Damian was listening to Kayla singing at the class, he loved listening to her singing, of course, the song been a duet with Zill kind of ruined the mode for him but he didn't let that stop him and just focused on her voice alone "you sing like an angel Kayla" Damian really meant that he loved her voice and the way she's playing the piano and every other thing about her, Damian was madly in love with her but in return, she just runs away.

Kayla is like her parents a Christian only believing and praying to Jesus, all of her beliefs came from her parents, church, and the bible. Kayla has been taught demons are evil, the antichrist especially and so as Damian only started speaking she was already on the run. "every time" was everything Damian could say in return, it wasn't fair even if he was a demon and liked to play around and joke even when others didn't necessarily found him funny he wasn't evil and a lot of ZPA teachers and students already approve of him been there even though he is a demon, so why isn't Kayla, why the only person who Damian actually want for to give him the same look she has when she talks to every other student at the school can't even be at the same room as him.

Damian knows that although he loved Kayla she already has a boyfriend Zill, Damian was jealous of him and want for Kayla to be his own but for now, he would be satisfied with her and him be at least friends, after all, you need to start somewhere but Kayla didn't give him that opportunity, for her he would always be just the evil antichrist.

In the evening of the same day Damian stayed at the school to play at the piano, the banjo was always his favorite instrument but by trying to find a way to connect to Kayla he started learning how to play and thanks to him been musically gifted it wasn't that hard for him to master the piano in a short time and even find it very relaxing, he tried showing Kayla how is he play but unfortunately he never could talk to her alone and was too shy to play in front of everyone at class.

In the middle of the song, the doors opened and Kayla walked in after being drawn to the music all the way from the art class who was Kayla's second subject "this is a beautiful playing" she started saying but stopped the moment she saw Damian on the piano. Hearing her compliment got Damian excited even if she didn't finish it, he wanted to open a conversation by giving a compliment about the way she played the piano herself at class today when she sang with Zill but before he could the girl was already on the run after making the worst expression she could.

Damian was frustrated at what just happened she liked the way he played so much that came to check the source herself but the moment she saw the demon she start to run ignoring the song completely, Kayla run from him before so he was used to this but this time it felt different, he was used to her being afraid of him but this time this one expression on her face, when she didn't saw only the demon but also listening to the song, was different, it was like her fear from Damian made her think less about the song.

Damian played on the piano, the instrument he learned to connect to her, the same song he practiced for months for her, How could she? she and Damian were both musicians or at least together at the music department at ZPA, both know how special can songs be but still that look, he could tell how she changed her complete opinion on the song based on the demon who played it and that one made Damian angry, this time he was genuinely heartbroken, and he wasn't gonna let it go.
