Lila shut the door to her apartment behind her, her mind still reeling as she walked into the living room, sitting down on the couch in a daze.
"Lila! I was worried sick, where were you all night?" Hermione marched into the living room, hands on her hips looking frazzled.
"You wouldn't believe the night I had, 'Mione." Lila groaned, throwing her head back over the back of the couch.
Hermione crossed over to sit down on the couch beside her, looking at her with concern, "Alright then, spill."
Lila looked up at Hermione and just stared blankly for a moment, wondering if she should even say anything. What if Hermione told Ron? Not only that, but Lila herself wasn't even entirely sure how to explain what had happened. She sighed as her misgivings gave way to her best friend's insistent expression.
"You have to promise not to mention this to anyone, especially not Ron."
Hermione's brow furrowed but she held her hand up, "Cross my heart."
"And you can't laugh,"
"Jesus, Lila, out with it!"
She took a deep, shaky breath, "Last night, I took a walk down Diagon Alley after drinks, although you know that."
Hermione nodded.
"Well, it started to rain, and I ducked under the awning in front of the twins' shop, and George opened a door on me."
Hermione laughed, "He opened a door on you? As in he hit you with it?"
Lila swallowed and nodded, "And we got to talking, and he invited me back to his flat, because he only had one umbrella," Hermione rolled her eyes as if that was the oldest trick in the book, but Lila continued, "So we went back to the flat, made me a cup of tea, and he and Fred and I all sat in the living room, catching up."
"And?" Hermione's eyebrows raised.
"I forgot to mention, they gave me a pair of their boxers and a t-shirt to wear. Because my clothes were soaked," Her eyebrows raised further, "And it got really late, and I said I should head home. But they offered to let me stay over, because it was so late and still raining and all."
"Lila, you did not."
The next words spilled out of her all at once, as if she was just trying to get them over with, "And I slept with Fred and then I slept with Fred and George came in this morning and they argued over the fact that Fred had slept with me first."
Lila felt like she was holding her breath as she watched Hermione's face process what she'd just said, her muscles in a tense cringe.
"Lila!" Hermione squealed, "You had sex with Fred Weasley!"
She nodded cautiously, and Hermione stood up, pacing the room like a crazed cat, "I told you they had become complete and utter womanizers, Lila! How could you have possibly thought going into their apartment and sleeping in bed with one of them was a good idea!" She rounded on Lila and it dawned on her, "You still like them, don't you!"
Lila stammered for a response "Maybe, but I didn't expect them to do anything about it!"
Hermione froze, finally realizing the last piece of what Lila had told her, "Hold on, did you say they both wanted to sleep with you? That's insane!"
"Exactly!" Lila shouted.
Hermione looked thoroughly shocked, but an idea seemed to pop into her head, "But isn't that what you've wanted for years? Why do you seem so torn up about it?"
Lila groaned loudly and threw herself back onto the couch again, "That's what's so crazy about it all! It was so weird, 'Mione. Them arguing over me. And I feel like they don't take me seriously. They probably saw me as some easy lay."
"Why do you think that?" Hermione sat down next to her, her tone softened.
"Well they do this all the time, apparently! Bringing girls back, making it a 'team effort'." Lila groaned again as she quoted Fred, putting her hands over her face and rubbing her eyes.
"Those filthy little-" Hermione murmured under her breath before sighing, "I'm sorry, Lila."
"Hermione," Lila answered quietly, and sat up to look at her friend, "You know what the absolute worst part is?"
"What?"
"It was so bloody good."
