The princess walks back and forth biting her nails. Her prized possession had gotten lost. It was too precious to her that it's breaking her heart to not find it near her. She has been frantic ever since she had realized that it was gone.

She was busy in her panic that it startled her when she heard a loud thump on her balcony.

"Raja!" She called for her pet tiger which instantly advanced towards the sound. Raja poked its head on the doors sending them flying open. "Woah! Easy there!" She heard the intruder say. The voice seeming all too familiar. She rushes towards the veranda and gasps as she sees Jungkook lying on the floor terrified as Raja snarls at him.

The princess lightly gestures Raja to step aside as she helps the scared male stand up. "What are you doing here?!" She asks surprised. "I thought you would be looking for this," he says gesturing towards the object in his right hand. The Princess gazes at his hand and her eyes widen with joy. "Oh my!" She squeals and jumps at the boy hugging him tightly. "Thank you so much" she smiles brightly while the other is clearly flustered.

Jungkook blushes at their close proximity. Though the moment is short-lived. Because soon they can hear the thunderous footsteps of the palace guards outside. They hear loud knocks on the princess's door. "Princess! Open the door!" In comes the voice of the sultan.

The princess panics. "Go! Go! Hide!" She pushes Jungkook further into the balcony and closes the door before rushing to the front doors. She looks behind one last time before opening the doors to a distressed sultan. "My darling, are you okay?!" The sultan says in panic. "Of course father! Why wouldn't I be?" "There is an intruder in the palace! God knows how he got in. But you rest assured that we will find him" the sultan says while caressing the princess's cheeks. She smiles awkwardly before biding her father goodnight and closing the doors.

She then quickly spins around and rushes to the balcony only to see it empty. She rushes to the rails and looks around. That is when she spots the silhouette of a man running from roof to roof and eventually leaving the palace premises. She laughs to herself lightly before caressing the bracelet decorating her wrist.

But there was also someone else who had seen the boy leave. Someone who had a malicious idea brimming in his head.

Jungkook again roams through the streets. This time stealing a shawl from a rich snobby lady and handing it off to a poor frail girl across the street. And then began a chase.

Large bulky men chased Jungkook all through the measly streets. He had finally lost them after a long and tiring run. He was currently resting on the roof of an unknown building. He heaved a long sigh but got startled when he found a man sitting beside him.

He looks warily at the man who had slowly turned towards him. He slowly removed the shawl covering his face to reveal the royal advisor.

Jackson Wang.

"I have a job for you, my boy," he says with a mysterious glint in his eyes, something Jungkook couldn't decipher. "What kind of job?" "To bring me an artifact from far within a cave" "why wouldn't you do it yourself?" Jackson laughs at that. "Because this cave is special and would only accept someone special," he says and smirks. "So you tell me that an ordinary thief like me, is special?" "In many ways. Yes." Jungkook scoffs. "And what would I get in return?" At this Jackson grins. "A ticket to the princess's heart" Jungkook's eyes widen. "What do you mean?!" "Bring me the artifact and I will help you impress the princess" Jackson smirks inwardly. "And why should I believe you?" Jungkook asks warily. "Because you have no other option besides me" Jackson smirks with great confidence.

Jungkook gulps and contemplates the offer. "Fine. I'll do it" Jackson smiles "alrig-" "but on one condition" Jungkook interrupts." which is?" Jackson asks annoyed. "I will bring along a companion and you will give him fifty gold coins" "absolutely no-" "then I refuse". Jackson sighs "Fine. But only one companion. Meet me in front of the palace borders at midnight" Jungkook nods. Jackson breathed roughly through his nose before disappearing as randomly as he came.

Jungkook blinks once and sets off to tell Jimin the news.

Jungkook and Jimin wait near the palace borders as told. A few minutes pass by and Jackson and a few men on camels come to their view. They both bow to him and get on two camels that were designated to them. And off they go on their journey towards the mystery cave.

Jungkook and Jimin stare astonished at the cave witch is the shape of a tiger's head with its jaw wide open.

As they walk closer they are startled when the cave starts to talk. Though the royal advisor seems unfazed.

Only one may enter here

One whose worth lies far within

A diamond in the rough!

Jackson turns towards the astonished duo and says "Go in and find me an artifact which looks like a lamp" "a lamp?" Jimin asks confused. "Yes. It is a magical lamp. You will know which one it is when you go inside" both of them nod their heads simultaneously. "But remember. There will be many treasures inside. Do not be tempted, do not touch anything. If you do then the cave will close up and both of you will be trapped inside forever" Jackson says looking slightly scary. Jungkook and Jimin gulp before walking towards the cave slowly.

They swiftly walk in and go inside. Just as Jackson said, there were many gorgeous treasures inside the cave. Every corner was decorated with gold coins, jewels, diamonds. Amongst all of them however one lamp was shining the brightest. It was situated at a high mountain made of golds and jewels.

"Jimin hyung! I've found it!" Jungkook says while poking Jimin. Jimin smiles brightly before encouraging the younger to go and get it. Just as his hyung instructed Jungkook walks over to the high tower and slowly starts to climb upwards. The gold coins and jewels tended to slip downwards causing Jungkook to slip a few times. Jimin stared at him worried as the latter advanced to the top.

Just as the raven-head went up to reach for the shining lantern, he slipped once more. He went spiraling down and grazing his hand on one of the sharp-edged crowns. Blood trickled down his forearm as he groaned slightly in pain. If it weren't for the deathly silent cave Jimin wouldn't have heard it.

The small blond gasped as he saw his friend who he considered as a brother more, was in pain. He ran up to the hurt raven and helped him up. He tore a bit of his shirt and wrapped the garment around his friend's wound. "sit here. I will go and get it" the palace servant ordered and carefully started to climb the tower. Jungkook followed his hyung's command and sat down among the gold coins.

He stared at the tower as Jimin solely climbed up. His eyes scanning through the cave interior, looking through all the treasure that was worth more than his life. He saw many different kinds of jewels surrounding him. But his eyes got trapped on a gold dagger. The dagger had a tiger pattern engraved on it. It was simply beautiful. The blade shinning even under the dimly lit cave. He reached out to touch it, seemingly in a trance. For a fraction of a second, he had thought of taking the treasure with him.

A thought that changed his life forever.
