Remember, this story was supposed to be a one shot. But it turned out to be too long so I broke it down into chapters.
Enjoy~
•••••••••••••••••
the princess was crying her heart out. the sultan had found out about her love affair and he was not pleased. condemning her to room imprisonment. apparently, the messenger was none other than the advisor himself. the sly fox had twisted something in the sultan's mind and now the man won't listen to reason. the whole palace was in an uproar and the cause of it was Jackson Wang.
Jungkook paced around his room in sheer worry. He could clearly hear the painful pleas of the princess from across the hall. That woman had strong resolute and would never breakdown like this. But the rejection from her father had turned her frail.
Jungkook tried to sneak into her room and saw guards on either side of her doors. It seemed odd to him and even to the genie that the sultan would take such measures to make sure the princess was kept inside her room. It was very unlikely of the sultan who loved his daughter to death, would now treat her as a measly prisoner.
But no matter the cause, Jungkook was determined to get the princess out of her misery. And the genie was going to fully help him with anything he might need. So, they drafted a plan.
The way to get to the princess's chambers was either to fight past the guards or reach for the balcony. The latter plan was more likely to succeed, and to make things faster Jungkook called out the magic carpet.
The poor carpet had been staying still in the new prince's room for so long that it sprang to immediate action upon being called. "Jungkook, I think it's best if you keep the lamp somewhere safe. The outside world is filled with enemies. We wouldn't know who or when someone might snatch the lamp from you. Fallen into the wrong hands it could turn into a deadly weapon. And I wouldn't be able to do anything." The genie advised. "But will you be able to come with me if I keep the lamp here?" Jungkook asked concerned. "Of course. So as long as no one rubs the lamp." The genie replied.
Jungkook nodded and asked a servant to call Jimin. He was the only person Jungkook could trust with his life.
Once Jimin came in, Jungkook explained the plan to him. "You need to keep the lamp safe with you. Hide it somewhere if you have to. Do not rub it and most certainly don't let someone else do so," Jungkook requested his best friend. Jimin curtly nodded and covered the lamp with a series of thick cloth so as to not rub it accidentally and carried it away with him.
Once the lamp was secured, it was time to flee with the princess. Jungkook intended on taking the princess to her lover. Because there was no telling what the maddened sultan would do to her since he now knows. after that, he was going to have a talk with the sultan. even if his love couldn't be reciprocated, the least he could do was let the princess have her dreamed love life.
Jungkook turned around and was stunned by what he saw. the genie was in the process of changing his appearance. all Jungkook saw until now was that genie was a ghostly creature. he was huge in frame and his facial features were not that firm to be deciphered as a proper face. so Jungkook knew genie as a man with a ghostly face. But for the first time, the genie had a human form. as the purple smoke slowly dissipated a form of a tall man stood before him. Blonde hair and brown eyes. The man was beautiful, to say the least. Jungook may have been staring at him for a bit too long because he could see the proud grin starting to adorn his lips. "I know I'm handsome. No need to stare young man" the genie confidently smirked. Jungkook cleared his throat and turned away from the man's gaze in embarrassment.
