Jessie's POV:

Mrs Alexander's expression changed from worried to calm when I said, 'science' so I'm glad she isn't too panicked now. Her smile was so beautiful I had to look away. I apologized for Karma's behavior but all she did was look at me like she was trying to figure me out.

She seemed to not have any more questions but what one of the boys said really got to Karma. Before I knew it Karma was back in control and heading towards Vernon. She was quickly stopped by Mrs Alexander grabbing her hand so she looked back in response. It was clear that Mrs Alexander was frightened again but it didn't stop her from pulling Karma into another hug.

We both calmed down and now I was back in control.

"Vernon, that was very inappropriate of you to say and I know that you're not talking about her when you get nothing in bed unless it's with yourself. Now you can go ahead and go to the principal's office."

He got up and left but Jaden backed him up, "Why are you protecting her and treating her like a kid? She killed someone with no hesitation and probably hurt my mother!"

"If you haven't figured it out already Karma is a protective identity. She came out because your mother wouldn't listen to me and didn't stop hitting you even though your lip and nose is bleeding. She came out because my ex wouldn't stop touching me, she saw the bruises, and because he treated me wrong."

"Then why Vernon? She was about to kill Vernon!"

"Catcalling is a form of harassment and that is what he was doing. As for her about to kill him, I didn't see a weapon so I'm going to just say that she wasn't going to kill him. They are both still human so I'll treat them as such."

I didn't notice that I was still hugging Mrs Alexander but I realized it when I felt her hug me tighter. I felt a certain energy flowing from the both us when she hugged me tighter so I guess that, that was her reaction to it.

We quickly separated and the energy was gone. I was still me but I felt my eyes glowing. My eyes did calm down though. We didn't say anything about the energy but Mrs Alexander played it off by saying, "Jessie I need to talk to you during lunch and let's just pretend like nothing happened, okay? Okay" She still looked as if she was panicking though.
