two years later...

i took a deep breath, yawning.

i've changed my name. i've changed my identity.

my number, my state, my life. changed.

still the past haunts me.

...

i head downstairs to my kitchen, seeing Yangyang stir a cup of coffee and take a sip before gagging.

"y/n/n i think i mistook salt for sugar again.."

"ugh Yang.. did you even read the labels?'

"they're smudged!"

i giggled under my breath as i check the jars. he was right.

"well you should at least do a taste test first."

he rolled his eyes, putting the cup down.

"you're up early. heading somewhere?"

"yeah, there's actually an open house at this school i want to go to."

"are you sure you're okay to go?"

"yeah.. why wouldn't i be?"

he ruffles my hair, handing me the cup of coffee.

"stay safe." he grins, walking up the stairs to his bedroom.

i take a sip of the coffee, immediately spitting it out.

"YANG-"

his laugh bounces off the walls as i throw the coffee down the drain.

...

i was definitely excited.

who wouldn't be?

starting my new life, fresh, in a new school, with no worries.

well besides tests and all that, i was safe.

i found myself in front of the tall building.

wide, a lot of windows. the school was huge.

so much space for a limited amount of students. i didn't mind it though, i loved the airy feel.

each step was a dream, walking inside the light school with pride.

"i really hope they accept me."

i was stopped by a person, probably close to my age, and turned to greet them.

"hey! are you here for the open house as well?"

i nodded, slightly confused.

he puts his hand out for me to greet him and i take it reluctantly.

"i'm Hwiyoung, you?"

"y/n/n, but uhm.. why are you talking to me exactly?"

"oh well you see, you just walked in and i'm kind of lost."

".. well i just walked in-"

"do you have a partner? are you in a relationship right now or..?"

i blankly stared at him as he asks. he shook his head as his cheeks turned bright red, his lips falling open to speak.

"let's act like i didn't ask that!"

another person calls out from the distance, this time, looking a bit older and professional.

"hello, i am a professor at this school, are you both here for the open house?"
