Madara slowly opened his eyes when he noticed a familiar chakra approaching him. His vision was still being blurry, but he could recognise that chakra anywhere. "Is that you, Hashirama?" Madara said weakly. "I guess neither you nor I could achieve what we wanted."
Hashirama furrowed his brows. "It's never that easy! Our job is to do all that we can, while we're alive. And then, bequeath the rest for future generations to accomplish."
"So naive....as usual" Madara chuckled. "You...were always...the optimist. But perhaps that is the correct path. My dream...was squashed. But your dream...still lives on."
"We were both too hasty. We didn't need to fulfil our dreams ourselves. It was more important to cultivate those who would come after us...to whom we could entrust our dreams."
"Which means I would have failed anyway. Since I always hated someone...standing behind me."
"When we were kids...you once said we're shinobi and we don't know when we'll die. And that for neither side to die, we'd both have to reveal what's inside of us and pour each other drinks to toast like brothers. But we're both about to die. Right now, we can drink together as war buddies." Hashirama replied with a soft smile
"War buddies...huh? Well...I guess...that's okay...by..." Madara slowly closed his eyes never to return to the shinobi world again.

Void
Madara's spirit floated in the vast void; however, it felt like something was holding him back, as if some force didn't want him to go to the afterlife. He scowled at the thought of not seeing Izuna and his family. Suddenly he felt a violent pull on his spirit, moving towards the light. As his spirit was being pulled, the light grew larger and larger until it completely swallowed him up.
"WAKE UP!" A voice shouted.
Madara's eyes shoot wide open, his senses slowly stabilising until he could see he was in a dark room. "Where am I?" Madara asked when suddenly he heard a voice behind him.
"You are in my domain, reincarnation of Indra but perhaps I should call you Madara Uchiha".
Madara struggled to stand up, he looked behind him and when he noticed who it was that was speaking. His eyes slightly widened "Hagaromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of the Six Paths" Madara replied, somewhat surprised.
Hagaromo just levitated there looking down on Madara like a disappointed parent looking down on their child. "Are you satisfied with how you lived your life?"
Madara's eye twitched and crossed his arms on his chest. "Hn."
Hagoromo sighed as he was reminded of his eldest son. "Tell me Ghost of the Uchiha Clan, what do you think is necessary for peace? Is it Love or power?"
Madara's eyes drifted to the side "I used to believe it was just power, but from what I've seen of the Uchiha boy and the Uzumaki brat, I believe both Love and Strength are required for there to be true peace."
Hagaromo was left stunned after Madara's answer "That's impossible. Indra and Asura could never come together."
Madara raised an eyebrow. "Hn, you never tried."
Hagaromo was left speechless. "I see. It seems I was wrong. I failed both of my sons - especially Indra." he looked at Madara with determined eyes. "I can't take back what I did before; however, I can start fixing my mistakes starting with you."
Madara narrowed his eyes. "What are you saying?"
"I'm giving you a second chance at life. This time I hope you'll enjoy it." The Sage said before snapping his fingers. Before Madara could decline, he blacked out.

Obelia Empire - Ruby Palace
Madara woke up to loud screams. Something that he was all too familiar considering he fought battles. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around the room only to see corpses littered around the room. He sighed mentally. It seems everywhere I go death is the first thing I see. He furrowed his brows and looked towards the door where the maids were staring while trembling. He saw a tall blonde man with cold blue jewel eyes glaring coldly at them with a bloodied sword in hand. Ah, so he's the one who killed them.
"What did she name them?" the blonde asked coldly.
The brunette maid holding him and his sibling trembled. "A-Athanasia and Athanatos."
The atmosphere turned to arctic levels, and bloodlust started coming out of the blonde man standing by the door next to a redhead knight. Madara frowned and looked next to him. If he continues that these two will die. Madara looked back at the man and glared coldly. A glare that he was very famous for sending shinobi running with tails between their legs. He let out some bloodlust towards the Emperor and knight.
Claude's eye widened slightly at the bloodlust the boy was letting out towards him. Felix shivered at the father and son's expressions.
Claude's lips twitched in amusement at the cold glare. "Amusing. Let's see if they live up to their names." He said before leaving a frightened Lilian and Athanasia while Madara simply smirked slightly.
