Chapter 3

I shut the door immediately. "shit" I mumble and breath heavily.

"Allison?" I hear him say from the other side of the door. This can't be happening, not right now.

"Who was it?" Hazel asks when she walks into the hallway.

"Just the postman" I say in a rush. Ouch, worst lie ever.

"Allison, I know you are there!" He says and knocks on the door. I look back at Hazel and she gives me a confused look.

"Please, just... Tell him to leave" I whisper at her and run into the kitchen. I know that he knows Hazel from school so it can't be that bad. I can hear the front door open and I hold my breath again.

"Ow hey, Luke!" Hazel says happily.

"Hi Hazel. Um.. Is Alli here?" Luke says. I know he knows that I am here, he just saw me. Before I can hear Hazel give him an answer, Julia interrupts them.

"are you ready, Hazel? The movie is about to start" She says. There is a short silence before Julia walks into the kitchen. "Allison, we're leaving!.You know what to do" She says and gives me a friendly smile. I assume Luke left because I can't hear him and Hazel talking anymore.

"Yeah, I know. They have to go to bed at 8, no food before bed time and play with them for at least 10 minutes" I say and smile back at her.

"We'll be back at 11pm or so" she says and with that she leaves the kitchen. I clean the kitchen a bit more before I hear footsteps coming towards the kitchen.

"No, Dylan. You can't play alone with the Legos when Logan plays with it too. You have to share" I say assuming it's Dylan like always. He always asks this question when Julia leaves the house.

"Legos huh?" And that is when I froze. That's definitely not Dylan. I turn around and look at Luke. He is leaning against the fridge and I can see the disappointment in his eyes when he looks at me. I just stand there, not saying a thing for at least two minutes before Luke breaks the silence. "You could have told us, you know. I know Ashton knows" I didn't answer, trying to avoid the topic but I know he isn't leaving till I give him an answer.

"I.." is all I can say before a tear rolls down my face and before I know it, Luke's arms are wrapped around my shaking body.

"It's okay. Ashton told me before I left" He whispers in my ear. We just stand there for a while, Luke shirt soaked because of my tears. It was stupid of me thinking they would never find out where I live or who my family is. I decide to pull away and take a deep breath before looking Luke right in the eyes.

"I am so sorry for not telling you, I though you would think that I am weird and-" I start but he cuts me off.

"I said it's okay. I understand your feelings, I would have done the same but you know that we already think you are weird" He says and I let out a small laugh.

"That's what Ashton said" I chuckle and give him a small smile. He comes closer and bites his lip (Luke has no lip ring yet btw). I flinch a bit when his right hand touches my cheek but relax when he wipes my tears away with his thumb.

"See, nothing to cry about. Don't worry about telling Calum and Michael, you know Ashton will do it for you" he smiles, still having his hand on my cheek. Before I can say anything else Hazel walks in.

"Alli have you seen m-" but stops when she sees me and Luke. Luke removes his hand quickly and looks at the floor. Hazel raises her eyebrow at me but I just ignore it.

"Aren't you supposed to be at the cinema?" I ask.

"Ow yeah right" she says and shakes her head. "I forgot my wallet"

"it's in the livingroom" I say. She nods quickly and leaves the kitchen. Me and Luke stand in silence till we hear the front door close. "Well that was awkward" I laugh and he laughs too. He opens his mouth to say something but closes it again when Liv walks crying into the kitchen.

"Dylan, Logan and Nash are only watching boy things and I have nothing to do" she sniffs while she dries her tears.

"ahw come here" I say and lift her up.

"Who is the boy with the blue eyes?" she whispers in my ear and looks at Luke.

"That is Luke, my friend" Luke gives her a friendly smile and comes closer.

"I can play with you if you want to?" he offers. Liv looks with her big green eyes at me and than back at Luke.

"You really want to play with me?" she says happily. Luke nods and looks at me for approval.

"Go and grab your toys, Luke will be there soon okay?" she gives me a quick nod before running out of the kitchen. "You really want to because you don't have to. I can tell her that I will play with her after I finished cleaning?"

"No it's okay, I like playing with kids actually" He says and walks towards the door.

"Wait!" I shout. He turns around and raises his left eyebrow. "Why are you here actually?"

"oh yeah I totally forgot! You lost your bracelet and I know how much this one means to you because you got it from your brother. So I wanted to bring it back but then I realised that I had no idea where you lived so I asked Ashton a-"

"I get it, Luke" I laugh. He chuckles lightly and gets the bracelet out of his pocket. I walk towards him and take it from him. "Thank you, by the way. It does mean a lot to me. Mind helping me put it on again?" It's one of those bracelets you can't put on yourself. He nods and takes my hand. I can feel myself blush from his touch. It's weird that I blush because I am used to it.

"Luke are you finally ready to play with me?" Liv shouts happily and runs into the kitchen.

"Yeah I am ready" He says and smiles at her.

"Come on, the tea party already started!" she says impatiently and drags Luke along. I shake my head and laugh at the scene infront of me. Maybe them knowing where I live isn't that bad at all.
