Finally arriving at the training camp karasuno hopped off the bus. noticing the team out front to greet them. y/n let a sly smirk grow as she saw a pudding-haired boy and a rooster.
"KENMA KOZUME IS THAT YOU!?" the boy looked up from his game frightened.
"KENMA YOU SLY BASTARD YOUR KEEPING THE WOMEN FOR YOURSELF!" y/n felt two arms wrap around her torso.
"hey kitty," a husky voice whispered. she giggled flipping in his arms smiling widely. "kuroo!" she hugged him tightly. in the distance the karasuno team watched the two interact, Sugawara noticed the blonde's discomfort. he walked over placing a hand on tsukishma's shoulder.
"ex."
"hm?" Kei turned to suga.
"they used to date."
"I messed up didn't I?"
"Sometimes we don't realize our mistakes till we are pulled far enough away allowing us to see it with a new view." Kei frowned from the wise third-year knowledge.

most of the first match consisted of losing and flying laps for karasuno. Kei set down his water looking over for the girl. when he didn't see her, he turned towards nemokma's side of the court. fucking hell, Kei thought. for exes, they sure were close and especially in a touching way. finally, Kei just admitted it, it really fucking hurt. seeing her happy with someone else. they didn't even date and he felt it. that churning pit in his stomach.
kuroo had his arms wrapped around y/n's waist as the two spun around the gym. she giggled as he set her down smiling. even though they broke up they never really changed how they acted. "y/n?" kuroo's voice snapped her out of her daze. she hummed in response.
"it's being back here isn't it?" the girl looked up seeing the worry in his eyes. she cupped his face.
"I'm ok. alright? I'm fine."

kenma had his head rested in y/n's lap as he played animal crossing. "are you still in love with him? kuroo I mean," kenma asked not taking his eyes off the game. y/n brushed her fingers through his hair.
"i-i don't think i ever loved him?"
"what do you mean?"
"i think i forced myself to because i didn't wanna hurt my best friend." kenma looked up at the girl whose eyes pooled with emotions. tossing his game to the side he shoved her face into his chest wrapping his arms around her.
"stupid."
