Ch. 2 A Nightmare

And that's when a simple sleepover turned into a living nightmare....

{Lucas's POV}

We woke up when we felt like nothing has happened. I get up and rub my head and realize the scenery was different from the room we were previously in.
"Ughh... My head. Is everyone alright?" I ask. I look around to look at everyone and realize something off. That's when my vision came into focus and I was able to process everything.
Nathan was in his frog onesie, making sure George was okay. George was in his moose onesie. Mogi was in his skin that would be in Minecraft. Along with Jimmy. Preston was in a shirt that was the color of lava with hints of black and white. His hair the same but with just hints of white as small streaks. When he opened his eyes one was a mixture of red and yellow and the other a bright blue. Andrew was in his Shark onesie checking on Spency who was in his monkey onesie. The only person I didn't see, was...
"SABRE!" I scream. Everyone turns to look at me confused. They saw me in my Minecraft skin, which was pretty similar to my real-life appearance.
I look around frantically looking for Sabre.
"Where's Sabre?! Did anyone see him? Rainbow Steve?! Light Steve!?" I scream looking for everyone.
"Lucas! Hello?!" I heard Rainbow Steve shout. He sounded injured.
"Rainbow Steve!" I shout. I start running to his voice and where the lighting was being shot down. Everyone following behind is also confused about everything. Before we were never able to bend our limbs in Minecraft and now that we can it's strange. I keep running until we reach the trunk of the Rainbow Tree of Life.
"Rainbow Steve!" I shout. He is sitting up against the Tree, blood running down from his side and head.
"Rainbow Steve!" I say once more. I run and slide right next to him, examining his wounds.
"L-Lucas, where's S-sabre?" He tries. I shake my head.
"Don't worry about him right now. We'll find him, right now worry about yourself." I tell him.
"N-no! I'm fine! See w-watch!" He shouts. He tries flying and he gets up a decent height, he then falls and I run to catch him bridal style. I give him a look of despair and sorrow.
"Okay, maybe not so okay." He says.
"Here come on," I say. I start walking towards the Rainbow House and maybe we could put him in a stasis machine to keep him stable. Everyone follows because they have nothing to do.
We get to the House and Mogi and I start building a machine to keep him stable.

{A few minutes later}

Mogi and I finish the machine and it looks like the traditional machines Sabre and I build all the time for other Steves.
"Alright Rainbow Steve. You know what to do." I say. He nods and walks into the machine.
"Ready. 3... 2... 1..." I say. I pull the lever and he's locked in place.
"Rainbow, you can hear us and still talk to us, but you will not be able to move. I'm sorry but this is the only way to help you." I tell him.
"I know Lucas. I just-- I miss Sabre." He says. I look down at the ground.
"I know Rainbow Steve. I miss him too. We would have never made it this far in the Saga without him. Without him, we would have never found you or Light Steve or any of the other Steves." I say. I turn to the others.
"You guys were never meant to have seen the Steves or have even known about this server. None of the good or bad guys were to see you. I'm sorry we never told any of you this before. But now Sabre's gone and we don't have a leader." I pause and Rainbow Steve picks up where I left off.
"Lucas, without Sabre I would have never met you. So, the closest person to Sabre would be you. You are our new leader until Sabre returns. What do you say?" He says.
I look up from the ground at Rainbow Steve then back to the guys.
"Lucas, no one knows this server better than you and Sabre. And you Rainbow Steve. So, I say, Lucas is our new leader until Sabre returns." Jimmy says. He looks at the others nodding in agreement. I look back at Rainbow Steve and Light Steve.
"Well then, I'll take the position until Sabre returns," I say.
"I just, have to think about something," I say. I walk away but before in leave I talk to Mogi.
"Hey Mogi, can I have the fireworks and Rainbow Wings back?" I ask.
"Oh yeah, sure." He says. He clumsily hands me the Rainbow Wings and fireworks, obviously confused about how this works.
So, we're stuck in Minecraft, Sabre's missing, and everyone is counting on me to lead them to safety and out of Minecraft. How am I going to do this? This is a job for Sabre, not me... I think to myself as I put the Wings on. I take out the fireworks and turn towards everyone.
"Just, just stay in the Rainbow house. Spency, can you watch Rainbow Steve?" I ask. He nods and goes and sits next to the machine, careful to not step on anything.
"Thanks. Stay safe everyone. Light Steve protect the House while I'm out, please?" I tell him. He nods and while the others are inside he puts a small bubble around it.
Bless his heart. Never come into contact with darkness. I think to myself.
I fly to the Rainbow Tree of Life and sit on one of the branches thinking to myself of where Sabre could be.
"Where ever you are, I hope you're okay. We miss you and hope you come back." I say looking out at the sunset.
"Who am I kidding, of course, your okay. Just don't die." I say.
"Don't die, Elan," I whisper. A tear falls down my cheek without me noticing and caring.
"I miss you," I whisper, my voice cracking while speaking. I start crying but I don't care.
"Don't die on me Elan...." I whisper. What I didn't realize is that two glowing white eyes were staring at me from the top of the Tree.
