As I hold Adelaide's hand in mine I pushed the elevator button heading up to the sixth floor. My first day at the new job and I couldn't find a sitter, luckily for me my new boss said our tech analyst could watch Ade for the day. The elevator doors open and I step out with Ade and we are bombarded by a blonde woman dress in bro pink.

"You must be Y/n and Adelaide! I'm Penelope Garcia Technical Analyst here at the BAU. My god you're both beautiful. Come come we must introduce you to the team!!!" Penelope squeals as she hugs us and pulls me and Ade through the glass doors.

As everyone introduced themselves to me and Adelaide, I saw a face I never thought I'd see again. Doctor Spencer Reid. His eyes shifted to me then to Adelaide. His eyes darkened with what looked to be rage. I shivered a bit as Penelope took Ade into what she called her 'Cave'. I smiled at the two girls as I looked at my new team.

"I'm Derek Morgan and you my beautiful mama, can call me... anytime" He reached down to grab my hand and I flinched pulling it away and behind my back. He stepped back smiling as two women stepped forwards one with black hair and the other a tiny blonde... they were both gorgeous what's not to envy about them.

"I'm Jennifer Jareau but you can call me JJ, and this is Emily Prentiss." The blonde spoke and tried to place her hand on my shoulder, I shook her hand off and nodded at both the women. Finally an older gentleman approached me not moving after he stopped about two feet in front of me.

"Welcome to the team Kiddo. I'm SSA David Rossi, that is our resident genius Dr. Spencer Reid, and I assume you already know Hotch." I nodded as he rattled off Information I was getting very overwhelmed with all the new people surrounding me and trying to touch me. I asked where the break room was and Rossi had Spencer show me.

Once I got into the break room I sat on the floor and started shaking slightly. My chest aches as it gets harder to breathe. It felt like I was drowning but I was perfectly safe in the break room. Spencer noticed this and crouched down to my level and his rage from earlier disappeared into a look of sorrow and sincerity.

"Breathe in through your nose out through your mouth, you got this patches." I took a minute to register the nickname he called me, he always called me that in college due to my patches on all my jeans back then. My breathing after 15 minutes went slowly back to normal.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry I should've seen that the team was overwhelming you..." He sat next to me and he started rambling about how we met.

"You had just graduated high school, I just gotten my first PhD. We both just turned 18, you were finding what you wanted to do with your life. I answered your Craigslist ad for a roommate.." He laughed and I laid my head in his lap looking up at the ceiling.

"I remember walking into the new apartment with my small box of things and my many totes of books. You looked at me with your sea-foam green eyes and I just knew, after being traumatized by people my whole life your intentions were pure. For years after that we stayed up till five or six in the morning and we went to classes together I got my 2nd and 3rd PhDs as you got your bachelors degrees in criminal justice and behavior sciences. Everything was perfect I lived and was always with my best friend." He paused and looked at me moving hair out of my face.

"Then we got drunk at our graduation party and has sex for the first time." He laughed. "And I knew one day after I moved away, we'd find each other again and here we are." He went to hold my hand and I flinched moving it away.

"Spencer, we can't... be anything I have a boyfriend and he'd kill me if he found out about my college best friend and old fling was working with me." I stutter out, little did he know I wasn't over exaggerating. He nodded and we went to the bull pen for my first case. Here we go.
