High School was not anywhere close to what it was hyped up to be.

Starting there? No, that is only the beginning, or, technically the end?

Ah, you never liked school to be honest.

Of course, nobody does, you suppose.

At least you are a senior! Ah, at least- were supposed to be? Sooo much to catch up on… so much work… not that you ever did any but, at this rate, you won't graduate, you really need to do something!

You open your eyes with a heavy sigh. No work has been assigned of course, and there is no communication between student and teacher. Is it break?

“Y/n… the police are here…” a voice sounds from behind your bedroom door.

Ah…… yes, something happened…

“Hmmm… right” you reply to your mother.

You get out of bed, slipping into something comfortable, anxiety pulsing through your spine.

“I'll be down in a minute” you state, opening the door, staring at the stairs as if they were dangerous.

After sighing, you pad to- then down the dark-wooden stairs, stopping to look at the open door.

As you look at the two cops talking to your father, who gives you a glance, you feel so many alarm bells bombarding your senses.

Run. Run! GET AWAY!

You turn on a dime, dashing up the stairs, a thud from behind you and yelling.

Oh no, oh no!

You grab a banister, using it to arch your trajectory towards the south end of your house, dashing into a room, locking the door to allow time to unlock and open the window- said window, you proceed to leap out of.

You land with a roll, struggle to stand quickly, then run! RUN! RUN TO THE MOUNTAIN!
