Bakugos POV
I woke up to a bright sunshine, not just the one outside. Kiri..He was sitting in a chair next to the bed I layed in holding my hand. He was asleep, it looked like he hadn't left that spot. He slowly opened his eyes. "K-kat.." he whispered sleepily.
"Hey.." I said to him. His eyes widened in excitement. He jumped on me and hugged me tightly. He started tearing up. "Don't cry Kiri.." I started to pet his hair.
"I-i'm sorry it's just. I couldn't stand another day without you Kat..I missed you so much."
I felt my face get hot and I stared into his eyes. "What did you do while I was gone?"
"I.." It looked like he was struggling to get the words out "I cried myself to sleep, I thought of you. How this is my fault-"
"I knew it." I said it in a somewhat loud tone.
"What.." he looked at me confused with tears in his eyes.
"I had a feeling you would blame yourself, now listen to me" he looked down "Look at me Kiri, it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself, you couldn't have predicted this." he stared at me with tears coming down his face. I couldn't stand his sadness. I kissed his forehead. "God, I really have fallen for you.." I said with a smile. He stared in utter disbelief. He buried his head in the crook of my neck. We stayed like that for a while until Kiri fell asleep.
