Your POV:

"Ouch!" I shout, as I drop yet another box on my foot. Moving to Japan from America was hard enough, but seeing as it's in the middle of the school year, I'm getting nervous.

The fact of the matter is that I don't know anyone here, nor do I even know how to get around yet. And I start school tomorrow. As I pick up and place the box I just dropped on my foot by the door, I see a boy in a familiar uniform walking towards me. Maybe towards me. I don't know.

I get distracted with how pretty he is, and how tall. I go to pick up another box from the car as I'm still watching him. He doesn't seem to notice though because he's on his phone. Looks like he's texting someone. I drop the box on my foot, and at this point, I think I have permanent damage done.

"OUCH GODDAMMIT!" I shout. The pretty boy looks up to me hopping with my foot in my hands. He's starts to jog over.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asks. I just stare and look at him in awe. I can feel my face heating up.

Pretty boy... talk to me...?

"Ummmm, hello?" his voice snaps me out of my thoughts.

"What?! Oh, yeah sorry, I'm fine, just moving in, you know, hahah..."

"Oh, well, do you want help? I live right next door to you, so I guess that means we're neighbors now," he says. The sun is starting to set and his green-blue eyes are twinkling.

"I guess I could use some help.... If you don't mind that is. By the way, I'm [y/n] [l/n]." Shoot. I forgot it's not the same as in America.

"I-I-I mean [l/n] [y/n]. I just moved here from America, and I'm still getting used to honorifics and stuff," I say, sputtering a nervous laugh after.

"Don't worry about it [l/n]-san, I'm Akaashi Keiji," the green eyed boy responds.

"Well Akaashi-san, I guess we're neighbors now." And with that, we started to pick up boxes and load them inside.

~~~~~~Time skip ~~~~~~
I learned that Akaashi goes to Fukurodani and is a second year like me. I hoped that we were in the same class, but today's the day I find out.
He had also stayed for dinner last night after my family got home from grocery shopping, and they seem to really like him. I'm happy that I have a new friend already, especially a pretty boy.
I hear my door bell ring, and go downstairs to check who it is. I hope it's pretty boy I think to myself. I open the door, and my dreams come true.
"Akaashi! Come in, have you had breakfast yet?" I say maybe a little too cheerily for the morning.
"Yes, I have. You almost ready to go [l/n]-san?"
"yeah, lemme just get my shoes and say goodbye to my little brother and sister," I say hurriedly.
I say goodbye to my siblings, get on my shoes, and walk out the door with Akaashi.
"Umm, [l/n]-san, I'm in the volleyball club, and usually can't pick you up in the morning. This is an exception day because your new, and I don't have practice this morning," he said. He's rather blunt, but I don't mind. It's better to be honest then anything else in this situation.
"Okay then! I guess this means I have to memorize where everything is today," I chuckled.
"AGGAAASHEE," I hear a shout from behind me. A tall, beefy owl boy ran up to us.
"Bokuto-san, please refrain from yelling this early in the morning. We're not at volleyball practice," Akaashi said rather annoyed.
"Sorry Akaashi-san. But who's this? She's kind of cute," the person whose name was apparently Bokuto bent down to my level and started inspecting my face, hand on his chin, stroking a non-existent beard. He looked me up and down, but noticing too late how close his face was to mine, let alone how close he was at all. There wasn't much space for him to look me up and down, so when he looked down, he only saw my chest, and a heavy blush coated his face.
"s-sorry ummmm," he said turning away.
"[l/n] [y/n]," I said, lightly blushing myself. "You are Bokuto...?"
"Bokuto Koutarou, one of the top five aces in Japan! Wing spiker!" He exclaims, blush barely there. I giggle.
"That's pretty cool! What about you Akaashi? What position do you play?" I ask. He looked at me a little surprised.
"ah, I play setter. [l/n]-san, how much do you know about volleyball?" he asked.
"Oh, my younger sister plays it. She's in her first year of middle school, and when we were in America, she played on her school team. I went to her games, and learned a decent amount about the sport itself," I reply. Bokuto and Akaashi look at me.
"I want to meet this younger sister of yours!" Bokuto exclaimed.
"Bokuto-san, keep it down. We're not at practice, and we're on campus," Akaashi said. I didn't notice, but the entire time I was being introduced to Bokuto and talking about volleyball, we had arrived at Fukurodani.
"Oh, you're right Akaashi-san! Good eye! I have to go, but I'll see you two later. Byee Akaashi-san, byeee cute [l/n]-san!" Bokuto said his goodbyes rather loudly. Eyes were all on Akaashi and I. A light blush dusted my face. Whispers started to disperse throughout the entrance gate.
"C'mon [l/n]-san, we can't be late for class. I'll show you to the principle," Akaashi said rather loudly himself. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the crowd. I was wondering why when I saw a group of perverted looking guys blushing. They seemed to get upset when Akaashi started pulling my wrist and dispersed. Creepy... I thought.
Akaashi and I turned out to be in the same class, and ended up sitting together.
The school year shouldn't be too bad.. I thought. Not with Akaashi and Bokuto by my side!
