"hey, wake up, " my eyes fluttered open as i got used to the light, "i brought you some water." i took the water from gio's hand and chugged it down.

my surroundings were different, i wasn't in that dark room anymore. i was in a bedroom. it was spacious and had plants everywhere. the bed was comfortable and plush, it felt as if i was laying on a cloud, "we found out it wasn't you, so we moved you here."

"i figured."

"you will have to meet with leo later today to discuss something."

"i don't want to talk to him."

"you have no choice."

"just great. can I shower?"

"yeah, i think there are clothes in the closet." he got up and started to go to the door, "i'll come back to check on you."

as soon as he left, i stood up wincing at the intense pain that spread throughout my body. limping to the window, i tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. then i went to the bathroom that was connected, there was a window unfortunately it didn't move. "i'll try again when i leave the room."

i rubbed my face with a baby wipe and wished i had my skin care products right now.

as I got undressed, i looked in the mirror and frowned. my body was practically covered with scrapes, bruises, and cuts. he fucked up my wig too, it looked like an animal was living in it.

turning on the hot water, steam filled up the room while i got in. it relaxed all my muscles, turning me to just a blob of flesh as i stood there. i needed it, the relaxation, the release of my worries. so i let myself stand there for almost too long, my skin was warming up, my eyes were closed and i let my mind go blank, i was meditating with how clear my mind was.

until i wasn't, there was a loud knock at the door and gio said, "its been forty minutes, do i have to break down the door?"

"no! i'm still here." i was almost in shock, forty minutes? hopping out, i tied a towel around me.

i stared at the mirror and brushed through my hair with my hands. soon after, i grabbed an elastic from under the sink and put it in a bun. this was a girl's room.

* * *

"so how do you like the ravioli?" gio asked.

"it's fine."

"cheer up, bambola."
(doll)

i punched him in his chest making him move away. "you have tough hands."

"or you're just a bitch."

"watch your mouth." i turned around to see leo giving me a piercing look. i glared back at him and twirled back around. "come here."

"i'm good."

"do i have to force you?"

i got up and lowered my bowl into the sink. i pumped the soap into my hands as i ignored him. rubbing my hands together, suds started to form so i rinsed it, drying my hands on a paper towel. forget about washing my dishes.

i spun around and i bumped into his body. i glanced up and quickly looked back down. his coal-black eyes were watching me, filled with anger. his jaw and fists tightly clenched. "i do not claim this negative energy."

i pushed past him to start walking away, but i was interrupted by the same body again. "can you move?"

after a few seconds, i noticed that he didn't shift at all. not even a side step. frustrated, i tried to go around again only to be dragged by my wrist. "you keep making this harder for yourself."

"you do realize i didn't choose to be here."

we reached a corridor that had three doors. he pulled me towards one which was already cracked open. through it, i can only see a bookshelf. when we entered a refreshing gust of air hit me. as well as the scent of pricey cologne. i mean he drugged me and tortured me but he smells amazing.

"go sit, " he said in a stern manner. i went to where he gestured for me to go and saw a brown, wooden desk with two chairs on both sides. i took a seat on the comfy, large, black one. "not there."

"too fucking bad." i shrugged at him. he sat down on the opposite chair silent for a while.

"so I want to propose an agreement. " he crossed his legs and gazed at me as if he was in a trance.

i snapped my fingers in his face, "um, what's the agreement?"

"you are to stay here for eight mon-"

"nope. this is bullshit i'm leaving." i stormed towards the door, but i got slammed back into the chair.

"i wasn't done speaking to you."

"i don't care."

"you should this is a life or death situation."

"if you haven't noticed i'm kinda suicidal."

he raised his eyebrows at me and continued, "as i was saying, you are to stay here for eight months and pretend to be my fiancee."

"but-"

"shut your mouth, i said 'you are' i didn't give you a choice."

i was stuck for eight months? with him? i might as well have a reward for being kidnapped. "bet, give me your card."

"who do you think you are?"

"y/n. am i supposed to be scared of you?"

his face was giving me mixed signals, he looked angry, hurt, mesmerized, and confused all at the same time. "i- shit just take it." he threw a black card at the table, "the pin is 4325. also, don't be stupid i can see what you buy."

leo was about to leave but i asked, "where is my phone?" he pointed at the desk drawer and quickly left. i opened it and saw my phone. "oh how i missed you."

unlocking my phone i saw that i had 300+ text messages and calls from storm. i dialed storm and she instantly picked up.

"oh my God. are you okay? where are you?"

"hey i'm fine. but boy do i have tea."
