One | Midoriya's Story

At the age of fourteen Izuku Midoriya was asked by his mother to retrieve some simple items at the town's marketplace. Though he did not know what fate had in store for him that day, he now wishes he never went to the marketplace.

He slowly makes his way down the road of the marketplace with a tote bag his mother made. He goes to the closest vegetable stand, he notices an oddly large amount of people there. He raises an eyebrow as he goes to stand in line, he then politely taps the female's shoulder in front of him. "Excuse me, may I ask why there are so many people here? Is there a sale here?" he asks as the female turns around.

"Have you not heard, boy?" she asks in return, Izuku tilts his head in confusion. "By that look, I can see that you don't know, king Enji and prince Shoto are taking a stroll down this marketplace today. Rumours are saying that they're looking for a female to become prince Shoto's bride."

"Really? But why don't they have prince Shoto marry a female from another kingdom?" Izuku asks as she lets out a sigh.

"Well, princess Fuyumi has already married a boy from another kingdom and prince Natsuo is engaged to a female in another kingdom. For some reason king Enji is giving prince Shoto freedom with his soon-to-be," she explains to Izuku who nods.

As Izuku waits, the line becomes one person less as a loud squeal rings into Izuku's delicate ears. He quickly turns to the creator of the sound, along with most of the people in the marketplace. He sees a tall figure with crimson red hair with a gold... crown on his head, it's king Enji.

The whole marketplace freezes as they watch king Enji walk down the center with guards and prince Shoto by his side. Izuku was at the end of the line for the vegetable stand making it easy to see the kingdom's ruler and his son, although the boy is short and can barely see past the guards he makes eye-contact with prince Shoto.

The prince stops as the two keep eye-contact, a guard says something to prince Shoto. The prince says something in return and suddenly starts walking towards the nervous greenette, he looks down at him. His grey eye soft, his blue eye icy. "Hello there," he says in a gentle yet deep voice.

"H-h-hello," Izuku stutters while looking down at his hands nervously.

"My apologies for approaching you so suddenly, when I saw you I thought you were a girl. I see now that I've made a mistake," he said as he bows as an apology.

"N-no need to apologize! I appreciate the thought though," Izuku says as he now bows.

"You... have an oddly feminine body for a boy."

"A-ah, I've been told..."

"Hmm... will you wait here for a moment."

"I'm w-waiting in line for vegetables so I-I won't be leaving anytime soon."

"Very well, give me a moment," prince Shoto walks away to where his father, king Enji is talking with civilians. The two chat while prince Shoto points at Izuku a few times, king Enji stared at the greenette the entire time prince Shoto spoke.

Izuku silently and nervously stands in line, he felt the eyes of the townspeople on him. It's unusual for prince Shoto to suddenly walk up to a townsperson. Prince Shoto walks back to the nervous greenette, he clears his throat before speaking. "If you wouldn't mind coming to the castle tomorrow at high noon for lunch with me, I want to talk with you," he says politely as Izuku freezes.

"I-I... don't mind at all," Izuku finally spits out as he looks up at the prince.

"Great, I'll see you then," prince Shoto says as he lightly pats Izuku's poofy and soft green hair. He then walks over to the king before they carry on with their walk, Izuku just stares at the ground the rest of his wait in line. He had no clue that he made the worst decision to have lunch with the prince that day.

At the age of sixteen Izuku Midoriya became prince Shoto's "girlfriend". He didn't think it was so bad, all he had to do was dress up when in front of others. He thought he just had to act as prince Shoto's girlfriend but he didn't know the real reason why prince Shoto chose him.

Izuku moved into the castle only a month before prince Shoto announced that he has a girlfriend named "Izumi", he was slowly getting use to it there. But when prince Shoto revealed his true intentions Izuku slowly began not to like it. Prince Shoto wanted Izuku no matter what gender was thrown upon the little greenette.

One night in the castle prince Shoto sneaked into Izuku's room, Izuku was sound asleep. Prince Shoto laid next to the boy in his bed, Izuku was still asleep even though he had company. But he was woken up by a voice in his ear, "You're quite vulnerable when you sleep." All Izuku remembers from that night is pain, screams, and aggressiveness he would've never thought to come from the prince.

At the age of nineteen, almost twenty Izuku was ready to leave the castle, leave prince Shoto. He talked to his mother about it and she supports him and will help him leave the kingdom. But that plan was stopped instantly after having dinner with the Todoroki family and associated kingdoms.

Prince Shoto asked Izuku, who was disguised as Izumi, to marry him at the table that evening. Izuku looked at the king and others at the table, he couldn't say no. So he said yes, prince Shoto looked happy but Izuku was not.

After that, months were spent preparing for the wedding of prince Shoto and soon-to-be "princess Izumi". Izuku hated the feeling he had in his gut as the wedding closed in, he was also afraid of what prince Shoto would've done if he had declined the proposal.

After all those months is now the morning of prince Shoto and "princess Izumi's" wedding, many from all over were invited. Izuku couldn't sleep that night, he was wondering what the wedding would be like. He was nervous, but a thought crossed his mind.

What if I just left... he thought to himself. He got out of his bed and went to the window, he looked up at the early dark sky. He quickly goes to his wardrobe and puts as many clothes as he can fit into a brown leather bag, he then goes to his door.

He opens the door a bit and notices guards at his door, he shuts his door quietly. He looks under his bed and finds the rope he hid under there from the first time he wanted to leave. He quickly ties it to a pillar in his room, he then throws the rest of the rope out the window. He then slowly climbs down the side of the castle, he lands in some bushes.

He watched as some guards passed him and didn't notice him, yet there is more security because of the wedding. He finally saw no guards and ran to the closest thing, the back gate. He quickly runs into the forest that lays behind the back gate, he continues to run and run.

He stops when he feels he's far enough away, he sits against a tree in front of a lake. He takes a deep breath in and a deep breath out, he stares at the mucky-looking lake. He groans and shuts his eyes as he rests his head against the tree.
