Trying to live the teenage dream

Introduction

I hear sirens and screaming downstairs. I walk down and see my Mom and Dad arguing with some officer's.

"M-mom...D-dad" I say they look at me with tears in there eyes. "I'm sorry my baby girl" my Mom says and then the officers put handcuffs on them. I ran and grabbed onto my Mom's arm.

Tears started to stream down my face "What are you doing!" I screamed. They took my Dad outside. My grip on my mother just tightened "Please don't go!" I yelled.

She smiled and said "I'll be back and so will your Dad" and then before I knew it they were gone. I fell to the ground and cried. I felt a hand on my head. I looked up to see a man "It's okay you won't be alone your coming to live with me and my family" he said.

I wiped my tears and grabbed his hand and walked out the door. White light was all I could see next and the sound of,  beeping? No not beeping more like an alarm.

                      Present day

I wake up to hear an alarm sound. I move to my side to see my phone making the sound. I hit the snooze button and close my eyes to go back to sleep.

"Wake up Kokichi it's time for you to get ready for school" I heard a guy say. I then feel someone poking me. "Uugh just give me 10 more minutes" I said trying to scoot there hand away. "No can do you gotta wake up NOW!" And then I felt the sheets get thrown off. Great, now I'm cold.

I open my eyes and see a boy with navy blue hair and golden eyes. Ugh this is my 'older brother' Shuichi Saihara and he's really annoying.

"I'm up so can you get out" I say in an annoyed tone. "Are you mad at me?" he said, "Oh well geez let's see you came into my room, yelled at me, and then threw my sheets off of me so of course I'm not mad at you!" I say putting on a fake smile. "Was that sarcasm?" "What do you think?" He looked at me and sighed.

"Now can you get out of my room so I can GET CHANGED!!" I yelled at him. He then proceeded to walk to my door "Oh and our uncle finished making breakfast so make sure you co-" before he can finish that sentence I slammed the door in his face.

He means HIS uncle. I go to my closet and grab some clothes. I'm so tired it was probably because of that dream well more like a nightmare.

It's been 10 years now since my parents got arrested and the Saihara's adopted me. I put my clothes on and look in the mirror. I see my hair and it looks like a mess and my face. Oh Atua. I look at my shirt and sees it looks good but it feels like I'm forgetting something.

Oh right, I forgot my chest binder.

I look around and see it on my dresser, of course it is. I take off my shirt and put my binder on and then put my shirt back on. I grab a brush and brush my short purple hair out. I put some make-up on, especially foundation on under my eyes.

I grabbed my book bag, then I walked downstairs and see food on the table. I slowly walk to a seat and sit down. I slowly eat the food in front of me still a little dazed from waking up. "Look at my cute little sister" Shuichi said and then I feel arms wrao around me. I look to see him hugging me, tight like, REALLY TIGHT. "S-hu.. ichi.. I can't b-breath" I say. He gets off of me and says 'sorry'.

"And you forgot that I'm a boy now so technically I'm your 'little brother' " I say to Shuichi malice in my voice. "But still you look cute" he said in a cheery voice. I puff my cheeks out and continue to eat.

"You ready for school" 'my uncle' asks us. "Yep I am" Shuichi said "sure" I say blankly. I finish eating my food and get up and get out the plate in the sink. "You sure Kokichi I know it's jarring to be moving to another school in the middle of the year" he says.

"Yeah I'm fine" I say "Don't worry uncle Kokichi has me to look after him" Shuichi says. I just roll my eyes and grab my bag. "Kokichi wait I haven't finished my breakfast" Shuichi said. I opened the door and grabbed my book bag and my keys. "Well next time you should be finished early, you know I'm not gonna wait for you" I say and then close the door behind me.

I start walking to where I think the school is. "Kokichi wait up!' I hear someone scream. I turn around and WHAM!

I fell to the ground with a 'THUD' I rubbed my head, OW!! That hurt!! I then open my eyes to see Shuichi on top of me. Oh Atua, I see his face get red. Of course the emo shy boy persona is out now. "So you gonna get off or stay on top of me" I say.

"Oh sorry" he says while getting off of me. He puts his hand out for me to grab but I ignore it and get up on my own. "I don't need your help I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself" I say. "Still doesn't mean you won't need my help someday" "The day I need your help is the day I die"I say.

He gives me a worried look and then started to walk with me following behind him. "You forgot the way didn't you" he said "Um no I didn't" he sighs and say "Your so stubborn". I then give him a death stare "Ok I get it" Shuichi said. "Hey aren't I technically helping you out. YOUR STILL ALIVE YAY!!" He screams out.

"Shut it" I say, I turn my face the other way so he doesn't see my face blushing from embarrassment. "Anyway you happy for your first day" he says "No I feel like shit" I say. He turns to me and says "Watch your profamity". I chuckled a little hoping he wouldn't hear me but he did.

"Now that's what I want to hear, your sweet laughter" Shuichi said in a calming, caring, serene like voice. He could mean it or he's just being an asshole. "Damn I didn't think you would make fun of me" I say now fake pouting. "A-ah N-No I would never" he says.

"Suuuuuuuuuuuuure" I say dragging out the u. "No really I like your laugh" he says and smiles innocently. Now how could I be mad at him, UGGGGHHHH. He always does this.

"And lookie we arrived at schools gates" Shuichi says. I turn my head to look at the school looks basic and generic. I look around and spit a pile of a bunch of girls surrounding something. I walk over with Shuichi following me. Ugh is he gonna do that the whole day.

I jump up to see what it is since I'm short but I still can't see since it's basically a whole concert crowd over here. I look at Shuichi to see him looking his calm face now turning into disgust. "Oh it's HIM" Shuichi says obviously displeased with this person.

"Just ignore it and get to class" he says, now starting to push me into the building. "Now I'll help you get to homeroom but the rest is on you" he says. After about 5 minutes of walking upstairs I make it to my home room.

"Now make sure to tell me if anyone is bullying you and if anyone is mean to you and if you-" "Bai-bye" I say cutting him off "Wait, I just want you to have a good day so goodbye" he says and gives me one last hug. I give him a slight smile and then walked into the classroom.

I went to go and sit in a seat in the back of the classroom. Soon enough the bell rang and students came pouring in. What I assume is the teacher came in "Okay class we have a new student today" She said "Kokichi would you please stand up and introduce yourself" shae says.

I smile and stand up "Hey I'm Kokichi Saihara and I hope to be good friends with all of you" I say and then bowing.

After homeroom class went by pretty fast and lunchtime but that was because I was avoiding my 'older brother'. Then it was time to go home I mostly just bullied Shuichi. We got to have cake for dessert to celebrate my first day at that school.

I didn't really make nay friends per say but at least I got people to talk to. I come out if the bathroom after brushing my teeth. "Hey Kokichi you ready to go to sleep it's bedtime!" I hear Shuichi yell in his room, that I might add is right next to mine. "Yeah!" I say and went to close my door, turn off my lights and went under the covers of my bed.

"Goodnight!" I hear Shuichi say "Yeah Goodnight Shuichi" I say sarcastically, and after ten minutes I hear him yell "Hey your supposed to call me your older brother!!". I start dying laughing while slowly drifting to sleep. I guess you can call this a good day.

(A/N: You dont know how happy this makes me posting this story and like I said in the A/N's In my other books this is more of a vent/comedy book so be prepared. Anyways hope you have a good day/night and I hoped you liked this first chapter)
