*The outfit she chose, just the colors of the flowers are different.
"There's a smile on your face," Dominick chuckled as he pushed up the knot of his blood red silk tie closer to his neck, "Should I still apologize...what you said before we..."
"There's no need to say sorry," I pushed myself off of the bed, a sheet wrapped around my body, "You were right. I was scared. There was a part of me that was clinging to the past, and I needed a push. I needed someone to push me because I didn't have it in me to do what was needed," I moved closer to him and grabbed his hand, "So, thank you."
"So we're good then?"
"Yes," I laughed, "We are good."
"You're sure?"
"I'm going to shower now. I know you have a cook, but how about I make us lunch? I can bring it to your office."
"I'm going to be working today."
"That's fine. The work comes with you. I am bound to hear about it at some point. I have to accept it, so I am. Better to do it now while I am in a good mood."
"Who are you and what did you do with my fiancé?"
"Go," I kissed his cheek, "Work. I will see you at lunch." He kissed me back and then was gone. I waited till the door closed behind him before I dropped the sheet, and headed into the bathroom.
I avoided looking at the mirror. I already knew the state that my body was in. The way Dominick had gripped my body, all the nips, bites, and suckels, I knew that there were bruises and other markings all over. He had marked his territory, for himself, for me and for any other man in the house that might get a peak. My guess was that he was still probably thinking about the hot tub incident.
I made the shower a quick one. I washed my hair, conditioned it, washed my body as I let my hair soften, and then rinsed everything together. After the soap was gone, I turned the water off and stood there with my eyes closed. I took even breaths and just listened. The house seemed so quiet compared to last night.
We had been so loud. There was no chance that no one heard us. The two guys that usually stand outside the door were probably smirking their asses off. 'The boss finally did it. He finally tamed the wild woman that was his fiance'. At least our relationship will be a whole lot more believable now. Hopefully that means that when that woman comes, I will have nothing to worry about.
Dominick hasn't said anything about the woman who wants to marry him showing up, and I've been moving around enough since being here that I would have noticed her at some point. If not that, Hope said that more than likely she would be on the hunt for me. Whether to scare me away or kill me, I can't say yet, but I seriously hope that it's the first one and not the latter.
I want to tell myself that I would fight back. That I would get the upper hand and come out victorious. After all, I'm the boss's fiance. I have to be able to defend myself if necessary, right? Wrong. That night, I had immediately broken down into a panic attack. The most I had been able to do as Dominick moved closer was tell him to back up as I cried my eyes out like a child. This other woman probably has been trained her whole life how to handle the world and those in it. I already knew that if she decided she was going to try and kill me, I was going to have to either run for my life, or just accept that I was going to be taken from this world a little sooner than planned.
Not wanting my thoughts to put me down too much, I cleared my head, grabbed my towel, and left the shower. Again, I didn't bother looking at the mirror, and left the room, making a b-line for the closet.
I told Dominick that I was going to just get this acceptance of his business done and over with. While my instinct was to go for the usual legging and hoodie or cardigan, I decided that it was best to go with an outfit that showed everything has changed after what occurred last night. No longer was I the fiance that was still hoping for a way to go back to her life in Virginia. I was the fiance that was now counting down the days until I became the wife. I was the boss's fiance.
