‟Sorry kid, I got nothing.‟

‟But-‟

You were interrupted when the door slammed in your face. With a sigh, you crossed it off the list.
'That was the last one.'

Disappointment bubbled in your chest, your eyes stinging as you walked to the curb and plopped down next to your few bags.
That couldn't be it, could it?

Your lip trembled, breath hitching as you tried not to let tears fall down your cheeks. ‟No, no. You did this on your own, don't cry about it.‟

Despite your self command, tears fell from your glossy eyes, hitting your hand as you clenched your dirty pants.

It was day four and, despite how many places you visited, you had yet to find a place to stay.
People didn't seem to want to let a kid buy a place, probably scared they wouldn't be able to afford it.

With shaky hands, you wiped your eyes. 'No (Y/N), you don't have time for this.'
Bitting your hand, you tried to silent the oncoming cry.

These past few days had been long, so endlessly long. Despite having patience and a relatively strong will, this was taking its toll on you.
Rolling with things was something you were used to but you didn't really have that choice right now.

No amount of rolling would land you a home and a job to help pay it off.

An uncomfortable growl from your stomach broke you from your thoughts.
Lunch, you could do lunch.

Wiping your nose, you stood up and shrugged on your two backpacks, grabbing your remaining suitcase. ‟Just keep going, something has to work out.‟

‟Here's your order, enjoy!‟

The smiling waitress set down your plate, a simple sandwich and fruit. That was fine.
'My whole eating and training schedule is whack.'
It had been a week or so since you had last come into the gym to train. Mr. Miyagi hadn't spoke about your sudden disappearance and you had a feeling it was on purpose.
'Regardless of my situation, I don't want to leech on Mr. Miyagi anymore than I already am. He's training me for free, anything more and he would practically be my guardian.'
