Okay. The first thing I've noticed people doing is when writing in first person and your character is with someone, it is not me and him. It's him and I.
The person with the character is always first. Not the character itself. It's like opening a door for someone. If your nice you let them go through first.
Example: (mha fan RN so most examples will be that or bungou stray dogs)
When Kacchan and I walked into the room the lights went out. There was screaming all around us. He and I decided to split up. I went left since there was more screaming coming from that direction.
Tip: Sometimes it's best to nix these if your not great with them but remember practice makes perfect. For the above example you could replace he and I with we. The first sentence is harder to nix considering this is the only paragraph and it tells who the POV is of, main character Izuku, and who he is with, Kacchan. But if you previously in the same scene/ above paragraph told who he was with that could also be changed to we.
