"Where am I?"

I feel like I've woken up from a long nap. I'm in a frigid hospital bed. Where am I?  A distant click-clacking of heels is heard as a woman approaches my bed. Who is she?  She has ice-blue eyes. She wears heavy makeup, and her clothes are dirty and torn. What is she doing here? The lady smiles and lets out a sigh of relief when she sees that my eyes have opened. Does she know me?

"Lilith, you're awake!" exclaims the strange lady, her voice shaking.

Lilith? I look around. There doesn't seem to be anyone else in the room.

"Wha-What are you talking about? Where am I? Who are you? Ho-How did I get here and how can I get home-?" I reply frantically. I stop as soon as I say home.

Home. A place that seems so familiar yet I seem to have no memory of it at all.

"It seems it worked, she has no memory of anything." Says a tall man as he walks into the room.

No memory of what? What happened?

The tall man comes closer to my hospital bed and looks at me with curious eyes. He has a short beard, shoulder-length hair, and cloudy gray eyes. His clothes are dirty and torn as well. He smells strongly of alcohol.

"We're your parents, Lilith." Says the man. His voice is soft, but stern.

I bring myself up, so that I am sitting in the bed. His voice seems oddly familiar. I feel my heart rate speed up. I try not to show hot scared I am. The lady with the heavy makeup seems to start crying a little. My parents? These can't be my parents.

"You-You mean... She doesn't remember who we are?" whispers the lady.

I then get the sudden urge to leave. I need to get out of here. I need to get back.. Get back? What am I saying? I'm tired and need rest. I can barely think straight.

I close my eyes and drift of to sleep.

It's the middle of night and I'm running in the woods. My legs are numb and I've been running for ages, but I need to keep going. I hear a boy calling my name. The lights and sounds from the police car are getting closer. Ahead of me, in a clearing, there's a wood cabin. Smoke is rising from the chimney and lights can be seen from a window. I realize how cold I am.

I need to get to that cabin.

No matter how far I run the cabin doesn't get any closer. I run until I can't anymore. I stop and put my hand against a tree to rest. A man stands in front of me.

Oh no, he's here

"Like I said, you can run - but you can't hide." Says the man. His voice is soft, but stern.

He slings a bag of his shoulders and opens it. I'm frozen with fear and can't move. He pulls out a syringe with glowing blue liquid.

"Don't worry Lilith, you'll have forgotten everything by the time I'm done..."

I wake up with a start. It was all just a nightmare. I look around. It's dark, but I can tell there's no one in my room. I must've slept all afternoon. I have to get out of here. I try and get up. I slowly make my way towards the door, and walk through the hallway. I hear voices coming toward me. I scramble into the closest room.

It's dark in there, except for a glowing blue light coming from a vial on a small desk. I make my way towards it. Suddenly, my head starts to throb. It gets worse and worse, and I start to see stars in front of my eyes.

"Lilith? What are you doing in here?" I hear a voice say. I recognize it as the man with shoulder-length hair from earlier because of his voice. Soft, but stern.

I feel myself collapse and everything goes black.
