Nobunaga had finally regained his memories and that night--

He'd told me that he was going to burn me into his memory, and true to his word, he kissed me all over, making me shiver in pleasure.

Mai: "Mmm . . .  Haah . . ."

Nobunaga: "Now here . . ."

Mai: "Ah . . . !"

A gasp escaped my lips as he trailed kisses across my breasts. Nobunaga's strong arms held me close . . . while his lips set every inch of me on fire.

"Nobunaga . . ." I draped my arms over his shoulders and nuzzled my face into his neck.

Nobunaga: "Yes?"

Mai: "It's just . . .  You've been kissing me all over for a while now . . ."

Nobunaga: "Oh? Do you dislike it?"

Mai: "No, it's not that at all. I just-- mmm . . ." The sound of his low, sexy chuckle in my ear was enough to make me shiver. I moaned again as he nipped at my earlobe, then pressed his lips to mine.

His lips feel so hot that they're making me dizzy. Every time he touches me, I feel like I might melt.  My sighs seemed to echo throughout the quiet room, and as our lips parted--

Gosh, just listen to me!  I bit my lip, embarrassed by the sounds coming from my mouth.

Nobunaga: "Why are you stifling your cries?"

Mai: "Because it's embarrassing to be the only one being so loud."

Nobunaga: "I said every part of you, did I not? Let me hear them."

Mai: "But-- ah . . . !"

Nobunaga: "If you try to deny me, then I will make it so that you cannot bear to hold them in." True to his word, Nobunaga laid me down on the futon. His tongue delved deep into my mouth, again and again, utterly ravishing me.

Mai: ". . . Haah . . .  Ah . . ."

Nobunaga: "Hereafter, you are the only one I will shower with love. Don't ever forget that, Mai."

Mai: "I won't." I desperately clung to his back, burying my face in the crook of his neck. Nobunaga gently ran his fingers through my hair, a contented smile on his face. I love this man from the bottom of my heart.

The past few days had felt like an eternity, but we were finally together again, expressing our feelings for each other. No matter what happens, I never want to leave his side.

I cried out Nobunaga's name again and again as waves of pleasure swept through me.

------------
Before dawn, I felt a breeze caress my cheek. Hmm . . . ?

My consciousness suddenly drifted awake, and I opened my eyes just slightly to look for Nobunaga. He should be sleeping beside me, right?

Suddenly, a warm hand stroked my hair.

Mai: "Oh. There you are."

Nobunaga: "Did I wake you, Mai?"

Mai: "Nah, I was awake anyway." I sat up and turned to face Nobunaga, who was seated by my pillow.

His expression was tender as he stroked my hair again. That feels really nice . . .  My brain was still half-asleep, but his touch still felt like utter bliss.

I shifted my eyes and saw that Nobunaga held a cup in his other hand. "Were you drinking some sake?"

Nobunaga: "I planned to, but . . . I've changed my mind. My insatiable desire to touch you is far more important."

Mai: "Oh, really?" Is that why he started petting my hair?  Nobunaga smiled as I looked up at him.

Nobunaga: "Really. It's strange, but despite the passionate evening we shared . . . I still haven't had enough of you."

Mai: "Well, then . . ." He took my hand, and the desire in his eyes had my heart pounding so loud, I could hear it.

"I guess that means you'll just have to touch me some more." I laid my head on Nobunaga's chest and he wrapped his arms around me.

Nobunaga: "You're so warm."

Mai: "Hehe. Am I?"

Nobunaga: "Yes. Before I recovered my memories of you, the evening breeze felt terribly cold. It seems those memories were so precious to me that somewhere deep down, my body still remembered them."

Mai: "Oh, Nobunaga . . ." I didn't realize that my not being around had affected him so much. I did everything I could to try and get him to remember me, all the while terrified that he never would. I never noticed that he was just as lonely as I was.

It was heartbreaking to realize that we just hadn't communicated our feelings the way we should have. I don't ever want him to spend the night alone again.  "Hey, Nobunaga? I want to promise you something."

Nobunaga: "What might that be?"

Mai: "If something like this ever happens again . . . I'll do everything I can to help you get your memories back."

Nobunaga: "Mai . . ." A brief flash of surprise crossed Nobunaga's face. But the corners of his lips soon lifted in amusement. "Do you think I'll forget again?"

Mai: "I'd like to believe you won't, but you never know. I consider it my job to get rid of anything that causes you stress." That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but still. I want to make his life easier because I want him to be happy.

Nobunaga: "I see. It seems you really did appear to make my life complete. That is exactly why I will risk my life to protect you." As he said those words, Nobunaga lifted my chin . . .

Mai: "Mmm . . ."

. . . and gave me a brief, gentle kiss. The heat of his lips instantly sent my pulse skyrocketing. "So, do you think you'll be able to sleep better again now?"

Nobunaga: "Of course. You're here, after all."

Mai: "Hehe . . .  Good, I'm glad." Nobunaga said that all I have to do is stay close to him and let him protect me . . . but he means the world to me, and I want to protect him, too. So that's exactly what I'll do. I'll protect his heart for the rest of our lives.

And there wasn't anyone or anything who could change my mind. I made that silent vow in my heart, then leaned in to kiss Nobunaga once again.
