                                        Why does it Have to Be You? (A Short Luker FanFiction)

Joker POV

Hacchi and I just finished our heist today and are now heading towards the Sky Joker. The inspector, yet again, wasn't able to even catch me today. I smiled at his annoyed face as we get slowly lifted towards the sky. "Welcome to the Shining Night!" I said, waving at them. Hacchi smiled as we both walked into the dining room. "That was another successful heist Mr. Joker," he said. I smiled at him, "Indeed, we did." I said. Hacchi rushed to the kitchen to cook dinner, aka curry. I decided to take a shower and get into my pajamas so that after dinner, I get to sleep right away.

After I took a shower, I joyfully skipped my way to my room. I was happy that my favorite pajamas are dry and cleaned. As I was walking, I felt like something or someone was in my room. I took out a card from my pocket as I carefully walked towards my door. I silently counted to three before I went in to see Lupin, all injured up, lying in MY bed.

Lupin POV

I woke up to see a set of two familiar faces. I blinked my eyes several times to finally see Joker and Hacchi staring at me. "What the frick happened to you?" Joker said. For the first time in my life, his voice showed concern. It brought butterflies to my stomach. I tried to sit up to meet their gaze, but my back started to sting badly. Joker slides his hand underneath me, helping me sit up. Hacchi rushed to grab some ice. Joker sighed, "Dang Lupin, your not as stupid as Phoenix, but what the flip happened to you?" He said. I sighed, "Oh, it's nothing important," I said. Joker gave an unsatisfied face, "Nah, I'm sure something happened. Now tell me, so we, well, I can understand." He said. I knew he was too smart, but I didn't want to tell him. It would hurt him more if he found out who hurt me. Luckily, Hacchi rushed inside the room with the pack of ice.

"Thanks," I said before, gritting my teeth when the ice hit my wound. Joker looked at me and sighed. "How did you get in here anyway?" He asked. I looked at him and smiled. "Well, I was running away when I saw your blimp, I sneaked into your room, where I suppose you'd be, but you weren't. I was about to leap out when my wound got worst." I replied. Hacchi smiled after wrapping the bandages around me, "There, now I will cook you some soup, Lupin-san." He said. I nodded my head as he walked out of the room. Joker looked at me and said, "Sometimes, it is hard to predict what you'd do next. So, stay here for the meantime." He said. I smiled, "Why not," I replied. Before Joker went out of the room, he kissed my forehead, and within seconds, he was gone.

Joker POV

After I kissed Lupin on the forehead, I immediately disappeared from the room. My face was burning red as a smile grew on my face. I can't believe I did that. Why DID I do that? Do I? No, there is no way I have feelings for Lupin. He hypnotized all my friends, for crying out loud! But then again, he does look kind of cute- WHAT AM I THINKING?

I shook the thoughts off my head as I walked into the kitchen. Hacchi was still making soup, so I decided to head to my treasure room. I casually walked towards an empty shelf and placed the treasure I stole with Hacchi earlier. I glanced at the table nearby with a picture of all my friends. I smiled as I looked at Lupin, who's being squished in the middle of Shadow and Phoenix.

I couldn' help but think back at the boy who was now laying down on my bed. A small tint of blush came across my face. I guess I do like him, don't I? But... Why does it have to be you, Lupin?
