Over the three months of summer vacation Prim had gotten slapped across the face so often she lost count, her mother had hexed her lips shut for about two weeks, and her father had caned her across the face about seven times. And her least favorite two death eater meetings took place at her house over summer

The day before school started their elf was instructed to heal her face. Her nose was put back to place, her cheekbone were put together and the cuts on her lips were sealed. The one thing the elf couldn't heal was a large cut that went from her eyebrow down her eye and ended at the start of her lip

Prim knew it made her look disgusting and hurt like hell

"Let that be an example of what happens when pureblood girls do not behave" Her mother repeated

Prim aparated with her mother in her brand new robes with the gryffindor crest the Avery family crest and along side her shiny new prefects badge.

The only reason she was allowed to play quidditch this year was because she was made prefect

Her mother left as quickly as they came.

Prim felt everyone's eyes on her. She had a huge cut across her face that was still new and red, she had a semi black eye and could feel everyone look at her as she made her way to the prefects compartment

Remus was the first she saw

"Ive missed you so much" she hugged him tightly

Lily being a prefect as well was there

"Prim" she hugged her and they swayed back and forth

"What happened" Lily was almost scared to ask

"Please don't look at it" She tried to cover the cut with her hand

Regulus was made prefect as well and was horrified seeing Prim. She was slimmer, and her face it hurt her to even look at that cut

"It's still new Prim Madam Pomfrey can heal it in a second and no scar" Remus tried to give her comfort

"My beautiful Prim what have they done to you" Sirius held her tightly

Everyone was sensitive around Prim. She looked like she had a summer from hell. James wanted to tease her for being a prefect but she told him that's the only reason she could still play this year

"You'll be an amazing captain James" she smiled at him for the first time in months she smiled

Peter had bought her plenty of candy off the trolley to make her feel better. And Sirius would not let go of her the entire ride

She knew her face could get healed but she knew she had to eat dinner first and help the new first years

At dinner everyone at gryffindor table looked at her cut until Sirius and James told them to fuck off

"Go to Promfrey we'll take care of the first years" Lily and Remus insisted

She walked the empty corridors hoping no one would see her

"Ms. Avery" She froze but soon realized it was just McGonagall

"What in heavens name happened" she had seen the cut at dinner

"You know ran into a tree branch" she lied

"I'm sorry Primrose" she walked away swiftly

As if that confrontation wasn't enough none the other than Regulus Black stood there

"I literally feel like i'm about to explode Regulus please just leave me alone"

He didn't say anything, instead he cupped her face but he didn't kiss her lips. He gave her a bunch of small kisses on her cut even kissed her eyelid

And just like that he left without saying another word to her.

Madam Pomfrey couldn't imagine what her parents did to her over break and brewed dittany leaves to put on her cut

"Miss im sorry but you have two options, wear a wrap over your entire right side for two days or stay in here and miss class for two days whatever you are comfortable with"

"I'll wear the wrap I really don't want to fall behind"

She wrapped white bandage around her cut and gave her so many looks of pity

Walking out Lily and Marlene were all waiting for her, the boys had run off to cause trouble somewhere

They held her hand and for Prim that was all she needed.

She got even more looks in the halls and she was sure she was scaring the first years

She sat next to Regulus in divination, professor Maylot said that she "felt their energy needed to be together" and finally in potions she was able to sit next to Lily. In astronomy she sat next to Regulus because "Your sun signs are the most compatible" he's a cancer and she was a taurus.

She counted down the hours until she could get the wraps off that when she had them removed she stayed crying in the infirmary. Her face with completely healed with no scar but she felt broken inside

The only thing that made her feel better was quidditch. They had to train a new keeper, chaser and beater James really had his work cut out for him

"So can you really like see things in these?" Regulus asked her in divination

"Sometimes it has to be like meant for me to see I just can't pick them up and see something" she shrugged

"I think this class is rubbish" He crossed his arms

"I have my doubts like last year James and Lily both saw the grim and they're perfectly healthy and very much alive" she smiled remembering how James said he'd sacrifice his life for Lily and Lily blushed a deep scarlet

"I think your face would have looked pretty badass with a scar" He told her in astronomy

"I think you would be much more likable without making comments like that" She tried to hide her smile

Something was different between them and they both felt it. Prim was scared he felt bad for her therefore he was being nicer and Regulus feared she'd never let him get close to her and if it ever came down to it she'd pick Sirius.
