Capture The Flag

I decided to not make Naomi and J a couple. They are actually not sure what they are yet. Hope you enjoy the chapter :)

I lay there in my cabin, Nico snoring away on his coffin like bed. Me laying in my coffin like bed staring at the ceiling.

I can't sleep. I just keep thinking about the kiss. I don't know if this means we are dating now or it was just one kiss that meant nothing. I'm not sure! I don't even know if I'm ready to have a boyfriend. Maybe he doesn't want a girlfriend. Ugh this is going to give me a headache!

At the camp fire we sat next to each other and sang along with the Apollo children. The fire was amazing. Changing colors to fit the moods of the crowd and rising the louder we got. I even ignored the whispering and pointing of my fellow campers. Some Aphrodite children were exchanging money for some reason.

When the camp fire was over we were sent to our cabins. Now I am just laying in my bed. I lay there for about another hour before sleep finally takes over.

I wake up the next morning at 7 feeling like I got no sleep at all. I get up anyways despite my screaming body telling me to get back into my nice warm comfortable bed. I notice Nico sleeping silently. He looks so peaceful and gentle when he sleeps. I walk towards the bathroom and take a shower.

I get out feeling refreshed and wide awake. I notice Nico is still sleeping. I don't think I should wake him. Is it normal for him to sleep in? Well many teens sleep in but here at camp? I look out the window. I don't see many out there. I'll let him sleep, check on him later.

I quietly put on my shoes and head towards the dining area for breakfast. There wasn't many people there maybe a small group of 5 at the most at each table.

I make my way over to the Hades table. Being the only descendent awake that attends this camp, of Hades, I sat there alone. I had something simple, cereal. When I was finished I decided to spend the rest of my day training. Capture the Flag was tonight and I wanted to be well prepared.

I took Ancient Greek lessons, archery (wasn't to bad with a bit of practice), then wrestling. After wrestling I had lunch.

I didn't think camp would be like this. Wrestling was horrible! I got pinned and thrown on the ground before I could even react! Whatever. It's lunch time now and all that training had me build up an appetite. I got to the table, Nico was already sitting there looking like he just woke up. Which he probably did.

"Hey." I say cheerfully as I sit down.

"Hi." he says while yawning. I roll my eyes. I realize that I haven't seen Nico or J all day. I haven't seen Will either but he spends all his time in the infirmary and I haven't been in there yet today.

"Who's team are we on for capture the flag?" I ask Nico while taking a bite from my sandwich.

"We are the Blue team with: Athena, Hades, Iris, Poseidon, Demeter, Hecate, Apollo, Nike, and Aphrodite. The other team is: Ares, Dionysus, Hermes, Hypnos, Hephaestus, Nemesis, and Tyche."

After lunch I continued training. I went to sword (in my case spear) training, foot racing, and then free time which I spent swimming in the lake.

I haven't talked to J since last night. I'm not even sure if he is avoiding me or I am avoiding him.

I drag myself out of the lake and sit down my feet dangling over the edge touching the water.

"You're a good swimmer." I turn around to see a tall guy with sea green eyes and black hair staring down at me.

"Thanks." I say smiling. He sits down next to me. Also having his feet hang over the edge.
