Chapter 17: Peace Breaker

Angelique's POV

"Good day, class. So, how was your semestral break?" Agad na bungad ni Sir Basti 'nang pumasok siya sa classroom.

May mga students na naghiyawan sa saya at may ilan din na nagreklamo na 'bitin' daw ang semestral break. Yes, kakatapos lang ng semestral break namin. It's now month of October, second week.

Halos mag-iisang buwan na 'nang lumipas ang birthday ko at birthday ni Payne, but I can't still forget all the memories we created on that two special days.

I will never forget how Payne sang on my birthday, and I will never forget the happiness that I felt in his own birthday. Ang dami naming memories 'nung araw na 'yun, I have a lot of pictures.

But my most favorite was the time that Payne and I took picture together, nasa likod lang namin n'un ang malaki at mataas na ferris wheel sa MOA.

Lihim akong napangiti 'nang naalala ko kung paano ko pinilit si Payne na gawing wallpaper sa phone niya ang picture na 'yun. And I was so happy when he did. Yes, his phone wallpaper now is our picture together at the MOA.

Madaming nangyari matapos ang birthday ni Payne at isa na 'ron itong Semestral break namin. Sa totoo lang, masaya akong natapos na ang break. Well, for the reason that I already miss seeing Payne. Quite strange. HAHA.

Noong semestral break kasi ay nasa bahay lang naman ako. Wala naman akong maisip na rason para pumunta kina Payne, I know naman na hindi siya mahilig gumala, eh.

I would just text him with simple greetings. Like 'good morning', 'good afternoon', and 'good night'. Just some plain texts. Wala naman kasi akong maisip na pwedeng sabihin sa kanya.

And besides... Hindi naman siya nagre-reply eh, bibihira lang. Hayst. Siguro hindi naman siya naiirita na lagi akong nagte-text sa kanya, 'di ba?

Sumulyap ako sa seatmate ko, which is Payne. Nakita kong nakatuon lang ang attention niya sa harapan, kay Sir Basti. I sighed and forced myself to focus on the class too.

Ngumiti si Sir Basti, "Malapit na pala ang field trip natin, by the end of October. It's a camping field trip, so I'd expect you all to be ready like scouts. I heard na magkakaroon din ng mga team building activities and of course, we'll have a bonfire by the evening before sleep."

Muling naghiyawan sa saya ang mga students, maski ako ay napangiti. I'm a bit excited for this field trip for some unknown reasons.

Well, nagkaroon na kami ng camping trip noong elementary pa lang kami ni Brian. But I think, this camping trip will be different. I have a feeling that this time, it will be 'something' unforgettable.

Maybe it's because of the reason that I want to spend this trip not just only with Brian, but also with Payne.

Agad akong napalingon kay Payne, "Sasama ka ba sa field trip, Payne?" I asked him, excitedly.

He looked at me for a couple of seconds, "I'm not quite sure."

"Sumama ka na, pleaseee!" Pagpupumilit ko pa with matching puppy eyes.

He smiled a bit, "Sasabihan ko muna ang parents ko, Angelique. Hindi naman kasi talaga ako sumasama sa mga field trips, eh." He explained in polite way.

I pouted for a bit, "Okay, pero sana sumama ka. I wanna be with you on the field trip day, I'm sure na magiging masaya 'yun. You'll enjoy the field trip, I promise."

"I'll try, maybe Vashti can tag along?" Payne said as he stared in the air, as if he was thinking. "Kung pumayag man ang parents ko, I'm sure na isasama nila sa'kin si Vashti."
