Every stranger
Makes me feel safer
And every person
Seems more beautiful~
"You're what?" Pansy grinned.
"You heard me." He sneered, looking away. She strides up to him, pulling him into a tight embrace. He stood there awkwardly, waiting for her to pull away.
"Oh Draco, I'm glad we can be friends." She giggled before turning around and walking off into the girls' dorms.
He stood there for a while, trying to process what he just did. He shook off the thought and left the common room. He walked around the castle halls, with only him and his thoughts.
"You apologised?" A familiar voice echoed behind him.
"Yes. I don't want to think about it so-,"
"But don't you see? It's a good thing. Draco Malfoy isn't the bad person everyone paints him out to be." She smiled, stepping closer to him.
"But I am." He sneered.
"No, you aren't." She smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't lie to me." He shrugged off her hand.
"You don't have to be. People can change." She reassured him.
"No they can't. People don't, change." He looked down at her, her glossy eyes peering into his. He didn't like how she looked at him, as if she could see right through him.
"Of course they can, silly. Now come on, what are you doing wandering the corridors?" She giggled.
"I don't know, what are you doing wandering the corridors?" He smirked.
"Don't you worry about me mister." She smiled, before walking away and disappearing around the corner. He tried to catch up to her, but as he turned the corner, she was gone.
He walks back to the common room, and sits down opposite the fireplace.
"Hey." Blaise greets him.
"Hi." Draco mumbled.
"What's up with you lately? you've been... distant." Blaise said, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't know what your talking about." Draco huffs, jumping up from the sofa.
"See, you're leaving again, it's like you want to be alone." Blaise smirks.
"He's right, you know." Interrupts Pansy.
"Yeah I do, I need some time away from you annoying gits," Draco laughs, walking away.

"A Christmas party?" It was dinner and Draco sat with his friends in their usual spots at Slytherin table.
"Yeah. At the Zabinis." Theo mumbled, chewing on his food.
"So, you'll all be there?" Blaise interrupted.
"Sure." Draco shrugged.
"Good. If you said no I would've dragged you there anyway." Blaise chuckled.
"See you lot later." Draco mumbled, leaving the Slytherin table.
"Sorry." He bumped into a bushy haired Gryffindor as he walked.
"Watch where you're going Mudblood." He spat.
"Whatever." Hermione scoffed, barging past him.

Draco sat infront of the Black Lake, staring into the distance. This place had become a regular spot for him, and although he didn't want to admit it, it brought him a strange comfort.
