Ezio finally arrived at the temple, it had been a few days after his final confrontation with Cesare borgia. Ezio had made the journey back to Rome, he had been investigating a potential precursor site, not wanting it to fall into the wrong hands he decided to pursue it immediately as soon as he returned to Rome.
Ezio stepped into the temple, wary of any potential traps or ambushes. A coffin stood in the center of the temple room, Ezio walked over to it and carefully pushed it open enough for him to crawl in. The coffin itself in reality held no corpse instead it offered a secret passage to the lower parts of the temple. Ezio reached the secretive passages end, crawling out of the tunnel and ending up in a room that was suspiciously under the temple. The room wasn't built along with the temple but instead existed as a separate structure under it. This is the reason why it caught Ezio's curiosity, it could possibly just be the remains of an older building but he had to be sure, he didn't want precursor technology falling into the wrong hands again, especially after viewing the power and using it himself. Using his senses he spotted a secret door, for anyone without the gift the door would have been impossible to locate. Pressing onto it caused it to open, Ezio stepped into the room, in the middle of it he spotted a spherical object floating in the middle of the room. Another apple of Eden? Ezio thought to himself as he walked over towards the obviously advanced and ancient device, walking over towards it, he cautiously grabbed the device, feeling the cold metal sinking into his nerves in his ungloved hand. He noticed a strange symbol on the device he hadn't seen on the apple.

That certainly wasn't on the apple, I do wonder, what does this symbol belong to? What does it mean? Ezio being trapped in his thoughts hadn't noticed the strange mechanical whirring sound from the strange object, before Ezio could react he was engulfed by a sphere of energy that made him vanish.
