Baby Bird (Hawks x male reader)

Chapter 3

(A/N: So I re-wrote this chapter so it could fit my idea of how I should keep this story going, I'm sorry if anyone's confused, hope you enjoy)

*Y/N POV-6:31PM*

When I arrived there were already heros there for example Endeavor no.1 hero,  Edgeshot no.4 hero, Kamui Woods no.7 hero and Miruko no.6 hero. "Hey, Rumi" I said walking in her direction. "Oh, hi Y/N, thought you were going to be here before me, guess I was wrong" Rumi aka Miruko laughed. Rumi is tough and speaks from her mind even if it causes confrontation, she also believes that heros who join teams are cowards, I see why but some times you have to be a team. "I was a bit busy trying to make my winter outfit, I already got the sleeves done, I just need to add a soft, fluffy padding on the inside of my hood and cape". More heros were showing up like Ryukyu no.10 hero and  Hawks no.2 hero. 

"Hi Ryuko" me and Rumi said, me, Rumi, Ryuko and Tsunagu aka Best Jeanist have been friends for a while, about 4 years ago I became a pro hero and Rumi introbuced me to them. "So, why do we have to come in 3 hours before it actualy starts, is it even necessary" I complained. "Probably so the heros who don't live close can get here or so we can prepare our speeches" Ryuko said. 'I don't have a speech and how am I suppose to come up with one in 3 hours'.

"Are all the top 10 heros here?" asked a woman shes probably the one hosting this event. "Yes" Endeavor replied, I never noticed how scary he is up close. "Great, good afternoon, at 22PM we will call you up from no.10 - no.1, are there any questions?" the lady asked again I looked around to see if anyone has their hand up "Yes, you at the back" the lady said.

"Yeah hi, why do we have to come in 3 hours before it actually starts?" everyone turned to look at the blond haired hero; winged hero Hawks. "We wanted you in here 3 hours early so you can get ready before going on stage. There are different rooms for you to get ready in" the lady left, "So.....I'm going to get ready, see ya" I said to Rumi and Ryuko before heading into this changing room thingy. My hair was getting into a mess so I wanted to fix it, there were rooms for males, females and one gender nuetral room. I was the first one in the room, what made me more confortable. The room was pretty plain, white walls, a bathroom I guess people get changed in there, a sofa, 2 tables and a mirror. I found some hair probucts on one of the tables, assuming that it belongs to the building I used it. *knock knock* "is anyone getting changed in here?" asked a masculine voice from outside the door. "No, it's just me" I said, the door opened and a man who looked the same age and height as me walked in "I'm Hawks by the way" he said as the door closed. "I'm Ember, so how does it feel to be number 2?" I asked still doing my hair. "I feel normal, the place your at doesn't really make you feel more special unless your really competitive and your at no.1" Hawks responded.

We were silent after that, it took me about 5 minutes to short my hair out. I could see Hawks in  the mirror shorting his feathers "Hey, Hawks....ar-are your wings soft?" I asked, I could tell that this was going to be an awkward conversation but every conversation with people who aren't my friends or who I just met. "I would say their pretty soft, I normaly don't let people touch them because without them I wouldn't be who I am today, I would be quirkless" he replied, I started to think what my life would be like if my quirk was taken away from me, I wouldn't be a hero, damn "Hey, you okay, Ember?". "Huh? Oh yeah, I was just thinking about what life without my quirk" I said  "I-I uh, I'm going to leave".
