Odd couple of 3 (39)

The odd couple was now a threesome that consisted of No Life King Alucard/ Vlad and his bride Gale, the No Life Queen. Much to the Vampire King's annoyance his queen now had a vampric familiar: Shouta Aizawa, that was her former lover and human husband, bodyguard and fierce protector of the Undead Queen. Gale the storm goddess to Alucard and Nari Raiden-sama's daughter to Eraserhead.

A weird little soap opera had taken up residence in Hellsing manor. At first Sir Intrega was far from amused with all the vampiric familiars. Baskerville refused to return to Alucard. Shouta put his 2 yen in and said Basker could do physical protection of Nari/Gale since Alucard wasn't around all time and Aizawa was still learning this shadow 'thing'. Alucard was still mad at the Hell Hound, as being a traitor.

Then Seras and Pip hit it off with Shouta and Nari, so much to Alucard's dismay, there was double dating with your Familiar night which consisted of who could find the worst vampire movie. Thanks to Eraser it was from his neck of the woods and China with bad dubbing.

The final straw was the first time Aizawa 'hijacked' Alucard's mind. The Vampire King insisted on mind linking while being intimate with Gale then it was Alucard in the 'backseat' watching like a hazy old film.

Alucard had the balls to go and complain to Sir Intrega then demand Walter to help him find a way to 'exercise' Aizawa out. At this point, with Pip Bernadotte's help the two familiars played havoc on Alucard by unloading his clips or putting regular ammo in. The worst was night tracer rounds that made the night sky lit up as he shot ghouls.

At least Aizawa had Nari for a name to call Gale so Alucard used her name he knew her by. They each had their own seperate terms of endearment. It helped ease the possessiveness each man had for Gale. They decided to work on some kind of an agreement for Gale and the baby.

The hardest part of the whole odd polyamory relationship for Alucard, was Aizawa being Gale's first Familiar much like Seras and Pip. Gale had been unable to have children anymore but because of a final blood exchange from Alucard, her body healed to conceive a son for his rival and that was salt in the wound. At first No Life King seethed and hid in the basement, to see Gale was with child by Shouta, when she became a full vampiress.

Then one night, just days from giving birth to Denji, the unborn baby wouldn't stop kicking Gale (Nari). Alucard felt his Undead Queen's suffering and came to her. The Vampire curled her up in his arms and was so content, he purred. As Alucard did his vampiric replica of a cat purr, everyone settled. Shouta and cats...now it was the realization Alucard was just a weird undead like cat.

For Alucard, it was something Aizawa couldn't do for Gale and especially Denji. Alucard began calling the baby D to annoy Shouta. As we all know Alucard signed letters 'D' long ago. D captured Alucard's long dead, cold heart and seemed to pump new life into it.

Then the night came when Denji was born. Gale indeed gave birth to a Dhamphir: half vampire, half human son. You would have thought D was Alucard's son as normally Dhamphirs are only of myths and can't be conceived.  Now the bickering started on the sleeping arrangements for Gale/ Nari and D. It was settled to that a room next Seras' and both would 'share'. It was not known how sensitive the baby was to sunlight and if any other vampire weaknesses.

So some rainy nights were brought by Gale, to settle her three men and so D slept soundly next to Gale's bed where she rested. As Alucard rested on Gale's right side and given the chance always took big spoon position. Shouta would rest facing Gale or have a hand placed on D, as he was becoming better at solidification.

Though sometimes Aizawa and Alucard had glaring contests, looking over Gale and wonder of wonders, Alucard always lost. That's what you get trying to stare down, a former sight quirk hero that learned not to blink.

As for vampire hunting, freak hunting in general, Alucard absolutely forbid Gale from jobs. Aizawa seconded the notion so storm goddess was out numbered by her two men.  As much as Alucard hated sharing Shouta, he was an excellent familiar. Gale listened to Aizawa without question. He was her calm, so she could stop worrying about the 'storm' she might create, and kill people.

For Shouta, this was an afterlife no one explained, as Gale didn't understand and her No Life King wasn't going to give out free information. Yet he was always with Gale. He could for a time take physical form, to hold his son and share intimate moments with Gale, then recede back into her body.

It was an acceptable afterlife, all in all. Above all, everyone loved the little black haired boy, D. The first Dhamphir born into the world according to Alucard.

Tonight was to be another quiet one. A Gale Force sandwich consisted on the menu for the boys : Aizawa top (front of Gale), Gale the meat part and Alucard the bottom slice (back of Gale). D softly cooed with a shadow tendril holding him nearby and playing with him. It was one of Alucard's favorite things to do.

If you asked Alucard, Vampire King could he love again, he would admittedly say he couldn't. Yet how he interacted with D, pampered Gale and managed to get along with Shouta, everyone around the old vampire knew it was love. He was maybe scared, once in his strange life to admit, it was love then he would lose it again.

Sir Intrega was bound and determined to make sure that didn't happen. It became a lot quieter at Hellsing manor due to less of the No Life King's antics. Just the Vampire not phasing through the ceiling or making constant sexual jokes to Sir Hellsing a taste of heaven and she was going to savor it...
