"My child will be unwanted there", Richard whispered and almost sounded desperate, but that rewarded him a stoic statement "Things will get better with time".

"My daughter is not an experiment father. Why don't you get it the guy refused to marry her" He now yelled losing all his patience.

"This merge is beneficial" Yelled back his father.

"Merge with a mafia gang?" Richard asked incredulously.

"Why does it surprises you. We always had connections with the mafia" His father stated

"Your company has had connections with mafia but not after I took over", He broke all his connections with the mafia as soon as he took over his fathers' company. His company had no illegal business.

"Breaking ties was your decision, not mine," His father said seething.

"And it will stay that way father", he stated firmly.

"The merge or you leave my company" His father was too quick to kick him out of the company.

"I don't care, dad, you know for a fact that I stood my company on my own, and even if you harm my company, you know I could still go to any extent to feed my families stomach", He snapped and left from there leaving an angry man behind.

He came in his office still agitated when his eyes fell on the family photo kept on his desk. It was from when they went to Egypt years ago.

Rose was 14 years old and had the same innocence in her eyes as she did now. His two boys had a wide smile on their faces and hands wrapped around their mother, while he had his wrapped around Rose.

His daughter was never rude to anyone, even when someone did her wrong she still let it go. And that always made him wonder why his father was so bitter to her.

He thought after the episode with him screaming at his father. He would have stopped the marriage bullshit, but he found out how wrong he was.

The man who visited their office to pass on a message from the Gutiérrez's, man has refused to marry Rose.

That didn't agitate him. What put him off was that his father still stood firm.

When he first found out about Maximillion being the man his father choose, he was less bothered because he knows how good a person that man is. But now that he rejected the marriage he is not going to send his daughter where she isn't wanted.

And he will fight for his daughter who never expected things from him. Though being spoiled rotten she was never disrespectful or never hurt anyone.

He was going to stop his father from spoiling his daughters' life. No harm will come towards his family.

Rose was in her garden looking at the stars, to hide her blushing face from her family.
The pink hue refused to leave her face since the day at her clinic.
She spent the whole day with Maximillion in his arms, he would occasionally run his fingers through her hairs or kept caressing her fingers.

They spoke no words but stayed attached basking in each other's warmth. Rose never felt what she felt with him though the warmth was familiar but the feeling weren't.

At the end of the day, she felt it really difficult to part ways and she knew he felt the same. Reluctantly with a kiss on his cheeks, she returned home.

A small update just because I wanted to tell you, people, what's happening in my life.

I graduated this year Of course and I am now getting my Business Administration degree.

Also, I have my first ever interview today which is adding to my anxiety.

I won't be able to update my chapters but I will not abandon my stories.
