Hi, thanks for checking out my story. I've been writing this story for about two years now and it means the world to me. I got the inspiration from my grandpa's parents who moved from Italy to America. They owned a small furniture store in New York City. They immigrated to America in the early 1900s and even though as mentioned in my story weren't put into internment camps (as far as I know.)
This story isn't based off my grandpa's experiences or himself. Rather I was inspired from some of the stories he told me as kid when he lived in New York with his family.
Many people learned about the Japanese Americans being discriminated against during ww2 in history class but not of Italian Americans as well.
I tried my best to be accurate on the history part I'm sorry if I missed something. If you y'all catch something I got off I would love feed back.
That's it I hope you all enjoy my story and I would love to hear your opinions or what I could improve on.🥰
