a few weeks had passed...
“It’s Sammy’s birthday tomorrow, love. Are you planning to buy her a gift?” Boun questions, looking over to his boyfriend who was slowly spacing out from time to time.
Prem faces him with a small pout. “No, Phi. I’m lazy. Fluke will handle it all since he’s more closer to her than me.” Boun laughs at that, dragging himself closer to the younger as he wraps his arms around him for a back hug.
“Your closure with her is different, baby. When you two hang out, it’s like you’re a couple.” The senior admits, chuckling.
Prem frowns. “What? That’s impossible.” He rolls his eyes, pushing Boun away slightly. The latter snickers, planting a kiss on his forehead as he gets up to prepare for their afternoon meal.
“What do you want to eat for lunch, Pao?” Boun yells from the kitchen, opening their half-empty fridge as he scans his eyes through. Upon realizing that they’ll only be eating canned goods—He thinks they really need to restock more foods.
Prem followed him in the dining room, paddling towards the kitchen island as he takes a seat on one of the stools.
“I don’t know, P’Boun. You decide.” He answers lazily, staring at the senior’s masculine back.
Boun hums in response. After their trip in Pattaya, they’ve been constantly sleeping at each other’s condominium and neither even complained—which is obviously understandable because they’re already a couple.
As the senior was engrossed in cooking, Prem walks over the big mirror and stares at himself; From his facial features—and down to his body appearance. If he was asked about a particular thing, then he’d definitely answer that he’s getting fatter and fatter everyday.
“P’Boun. . .” The older immediately whipped his head to Prem’s direction, seeing him observing himself on the mirror. He hums questionably, lifting an eyebrow.
“Do you. . . Do you think i’m getting fat?” The sudden query made Boun frown. He wasn’t expecting the younger to ask such question, especially since he didn’t even bother to take a look at his weight way before they got together.
“No.” He simply replies, still not taking his eyes off of his boyfriend who looks at him through the huge mirror.
Prem pouts as he gets back in his seat. “Ma said i’m getting fat from eating too much food.” He says with a loud huff.
Boun chuckles. “You’re not getting fat, Pao. Your body is just okay and it looks completely normal to me.” He smiles at the younger lastly—before letting his attention fall back on what he was doing previously.
Prem felt somewhat relieved by what the senior has said, but the worry did not even left his head.
After a while, Boun was finally able to finish the meal. He placed the cooked foods on the table, gesturing for Prem to come and take a seat at the dining table so they can start eating. The younger instantly complied.
“By the way, P’Boun. Ma said she’s going to pay a visit here.” Prem opens up, bringing a spoonful of rice inside his mouth. Boun stops chewing, raising his head to look at the man in front of him.
“Come again? Tomorrow?” He emphasizes the word, and Prem nods his head fast. He blinks his eyelids several times.
“Oh. Okay.”
Fuck.
“Will it be okay if I introduce you to her? It’s too late to stop her now.” The junior smiles awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Boun nods. Frankly, he cannot do anything about it anymore. He’d look stupid if he tries to do something to stop the woman from visiting her son. In fact, he doesn’t entirely feel nervous anyhow.
Prem sighs in huge relief, looking up to meet the man’s gaze. And the longer they stare at each other, the longer he realizes that he’s one lucky man to have someone like Boun Noppanut in his life.
They exchanged smiles, opening another subject to chitchat about as they continued on their meal.

Darkness has gradually covered the sky, turning it into a dark shade of blue as an indication that the morning has come to its end for the day. Both men decided to watch the sunset together, and they’re currently staying outside—laying on the greenfield.
Prem feels something wet on his face, and he tries to pay no attention to it—not until the drops was becoming continuous. He opens his eyes, finding out that it was nearing to rain.
“Oii, Hia. It’s starting to rain!” He exclaims, shaking the senior that was dozing off next to him. Once Boun actualized the bad weather, he slightly panicked and dragged themselves back inside the house quicker than the thunder.
As soon as they got in, Prem crossed his arms while glaring at his boyfriend. Boun rubs his nape sheepishly.
“Ehehe. We should have just stayed inside.”
Prem rolled his eyes. “Ngo!” He shakes his head as he takes his shirt off to change into a new one.
Boun was just staring at every movement he does, completely lost in his own rollercoaster of thoughts. When the younger was done changing, he walks over to his boyfriend and stops right in front of him.
“Hia?” He calls out, trying to catch the senior’s attention.
“Oi?” Boun raised his head, meeting the other’s gaze.
Prem kneels down, placing his palm on both sides of Boun’s cheeks as he squeezes them gently. “You’re spacing out.” He mutters.
Boun smiles, leaning against the younger’s touch. “Don’t worry, I was just thinking about something.” He kisses his hand.
Though the senior has done that action several times, Prem admits that he isn’t fond of it. He blushed furiously, backing away slightly as he nodded and attempts to hide his tinted cheeks.
“Are you ready to meet her, Phi? If not yet, just tell me so i’ll let you go home instead.” He says, taking a seat next to the older. Boun was bound (the pun 😭) to misunderstand his words—which caused him to get uneasy.
Does he think it’s not the right time for me to meet his mother? He thinks to himself, slowly getting saddened.
“Huh? Of course, I am.” He responded, avoiding eye contact as he bites on his nails awkwardly.
Prem noticed the senior’s uneasiness. He leans forward, placing a kiss on his forehead while a genuine smile curves across his face.
Boun can feel his heart softening. And despite taken aback, he steals a peck on the younger’s lips. Prem’s eyes widened, but soon a giggle slipped out from his mouth.
He didn’t say a word, instead—he snuggles onto the older’s chest with a shy grin. The vibration of Boun’s chuckle made him feel extremely giddy, and he loved it.
“I love you, Pao.”
