RING! RING!
The sound of the annoying clock on the bedside table was the main cause of a man’s sleep disturbance. Boun rubs his eyes with his fist, switching the loud object off as he turned around to look at the sleeping beauty next to him.
A smile curved on his lips. “My pretty baby.” He whispers, fingers trailing over the man’s face—from his cheek bone and down to his plump lips. But something caught Boun’s eyes. It was a foreign scar on the right side of his boyfriend’s cheeks. He never saw this blemish before.
Shaking the thoughts off of his head, Boun plants a soft kiss on Prem’s forehead as he gets up to do a brief stretching before proceeding to make their breakfast. He strides inside the kitchen, preparing the usual while he waits for the younger to finally wake up from his dreamland.

Inside their bedroom, Prem started to stir in his sleep—before eventually opening his eyes only to be hit by the burning ray of sunlight directly to his vision. He groans lowly, sitting up properly on the mamattress. The man waited for a few moment to actualize reality, before making his way to the kitchen. He saw the older cooking, and he was being hit by the tasty aroma of the bread getting toasted and their regular morning coffee.
With a smile, he takes a seat on the counter. Never taking his eyes off of his boyfriend’s attractive masculine back, patiently waiting for Boun to notice his presence. Sooner, the senior looked behind him.
“Shit. Baby, you scared me. What a good morning, indeed.” Boun chuckles, finishing off the meal before placing it on the table in front of the gaping junior. He immediately takes a seat.
Prem bit his lower lip, eyes twinkling in anticipation of hunger. “Morning, Hia. Let’s eat!” He smiles cheekily, not wasting any more time as he begins to munch.
Boun stared at the younger in adoration for a few seconds, before finally digging in with him. As they eat silently, his eyes scanned Prem’s face.
“Love, where did you get that scar on your right cheek?” He questions, lifting an eyebrow in a questioning manner. Prem stopped from his feasting, gulping down food.
“I accidentally slit myself with a blade while shaving my eyebrows, Hia.” He answers with honesty, taking a sip of his water. Boun’s eyes thinned at the response, sighing afterwards.
The senior nods his head. “You should have told me, Prem. I have that thing you use for shaving, and it’s more safe to apply.” He lectures, finishing his one last spoonful of viand.
“Sorry, Hia. I promise to inform you next time to ensure safety.” Prem says, smiling widely. Boun chuckles, standing up as he walks toward the sink.
While Prem continues to eat, Boun leaned against the wall and faced the younger. He stares at him with an adoring smile.
“By the way, baby. Sammy asked if we’re going to attend her celebration.” He informs.
Prem nods. “Of course! I wouldn’t want waste a chance spending time with her. More especially if it’s birthday celebration.” He retaliated, smiling lovingly as he thinks about his beloved best friend.
Boun giggles at his boyfriend’s cute thoughtfulness. “Right, right. Do you have anything for her?”
“Nope! But I know for sure she’ll understand.” Prem shrugged, taking a big bite of the egg sandwich.
Boun hums. “Don’t you wanna buy something before we go?”
Prem shakes his head casually. “Nah. Don’t sorry, babe. We can still go even without bringing any gifts.” With the last bite, he was finally done. He gets up, instantly washing his hands and fixing the dining table.
Boun’s eyes followed every movements he does, the smile not leaving his face. When Prem already fixed everything, he was about to approach the younger for a tight hug—but the doorbell rang continuously.
The couple was quickly ran towards the door, opening it and was faced by a woman in her mid 40s. She was identical to Prem, and Boun realized that it’s his mother.
"Prem! My baby!" Mrs. Chawalitrujiwong immediately wrapped her arms around her son and pulled him into a bear hug. Prem struggling to return the action.
“Khun Mæ. . .”
Witnessing the moment, a cocktail of foreign feeling was mixing within Boun’s consciousness. He gulps, standing there in front of the scene as if he was a frozen caveman waiting to be defrosted.
Once the two pulled away, the woman was fast to turn her head at Boun’s direction with a look of confusion.
Then realization hits her. “Oh! Hello, dear. You must be Boun. Prem’s boyfriend, if i’m not mistaken? Nice to meet you, son.” She greets cheerfully, extending a hand for a hand shake.
Boun’s eyes widened in genuine surprise, but immediately hid it under his control as he accepted the handshake with a beam on his face.
“Nice to meet you too, Ma’am.”
Prem was enjoying every bit of the scene, sadistically admitting that he finds his boyfriend’s uneasy behavior entertaining for him. It was quite funny, as he can say.
“Please don’t be too polite. Call me Mom!” Mrs. Chawalitrojiwung grins, causing Boun’s heart to do a summersault. Prem has a lot of explaining to do after all of this.
And despite of his scepticism, a cocky grin made its way to his victorious face.
“Sure, Mom.”
