MATIAS- A WEEK LATER

It hadn't taken much to convince Kiara to marry me. And by that, I meant that the morning after she'd come to find me I told her we were getting married and Jasper and a girl named Leona that Kiara had apparently become friends with after taking over met us at the courthouse to be our witnesses. Kiara had officially moved in that same day, and before we'd gotten anything unpacked I fucked her as my wife for the first but definitely not the last time.

Sure, it was fast, but I knew what I wanted and Kiara glowed with happiness and that was all that mattered. Leona had come over this morning to meet with Kiara about some things at the safehouse, and shortly afterwards Jasper had shown up. I was starting to suspect that he hadn't come over for me, if the small glances he gave Leona that he tried to hide were anything to go by. Didn't matter to me much either way, as I was completely and totally focused on Kiara myself. I didn't know where I would be if she hadn't planted herself in my life, and I thought about the baby that was growing inside her still flat stomach. We'd just found out yesterday, and I wasn't ashamed to admit that I'd cried at the idea of building a family with her. This baby was going to have a wild life I was sure, but it was never going to doubt that its parents loved them. I watched as Kiara's green eyes turned to me, a big smile on her face as her fingers gently touched her stomach, and I knew that we were thinking about the same thing.

KIARAMatias lightly touched his fingers to his lips in a gentle kiss to me and our growing baby, and I flushed with happiness before turning back to Leona.

"Wow, you really aren't listening to anything, are you?" Leona's voice teased me and I laughed at her.

"I'm sorry, I'm really trying. Just a lot of things on my mind."

"I get that," she said with a wistful tone, her eyes quickly shooting over to Jasper and then back to the papers in her hands.

I froze, staring at her and then looking back at Jasper who I noticed quickly looked away when he noticed I was looking at them.

"No way," I breathed out. Leona looked up at me sharply, her big blue eyes widening under her short black bangs. "You like Jasper?"

"Shut up," she hissed with panic written all over her face.

"Oh my god, you do!" The grin spread across my face, and I swallowed my laughter enough that only a small giggle escaped me.

"What's so funny, angelita?" Matias' voice was amused and when I looked over at him, his dark eyes were sparkling with love and content.

"Oh, nothing," I said innocently. Leona's stiff form next to me relaxed slightly.

I snorted to myself in my head. Like I was going to spill the beans with Jasper sitting right there. Although it looked like Matias might have already clued in to what was going on, by the way his glance shifted between our two guests. That was going to have to wait though, as I watched Matias' eyes darken with need once he noticed my hand lightly rubbing my stomach unconsciously. It was time to get these two people out, because ever since we'd found out about the baby, it had been hard for Matias to keep me clothed; he was either wanting to fuck me or rub my belly, talking gently to our little one. It made my heart swell, and every time it just confirmed that marrying him had been the right choice.

Our lives had been filled with deception and sadness, but it had gotten us to where we were now and I couldn't regret that. I was happy, and that was more than I could say for my life before him. I'd found my family, and it was only going to continue to grow.
