Ch. 2-tension
At the entrance was a masked figure in a hoodie the color of moss, the hood flipped over their head and covering most of it except for a few stray tufts of dirty-blonde hair.

"-an ambassador." Techno finished. Bad shuffled around to look at said ambassador, the former looking to be familiar with them. "We were just talking about you, Dream."

Dream heaved a sigh and took up the remaining chair, letting his hood fall around his shoulders. Peeking through his hair was a pair of small black horns. "Schlatt didn't want to come, again. I tried telling him that he can't keep doing this but of course, he never listens." He said bitterly.

"Well, maybe you could negotiate with him? If you sat down and talked, maybe-" Tommy couldn't help but burst into laughter at the thought of negotiation. Techno and Dream followed suit, leaving the last leader nothing but a bit bewildered and confused. Wiping his eyes, Techno spoke.

"Jschlatt? Negotiation? You really are a newbie. Anyone with even a scrap of knowledge about him knows that he does what he wants, when he wants to. I'm not one to mingle with Demons, but in the few times I've spoken to him, I could figure that much out. If he doesn't wanna come, we can't do jack shit about it. Anyways, enough about a person who isn't here, we've already wasted enough time. Who's going first?"

He looked around challengingly, eyes daring anyone else to speak. Bad straightened his posture and exhaled before clasping his fingers together.

"I guess I will! Now then-it's been going well-ish, our former leader stepped down at the end of December, so I got elected about two weeks ago. I've been told to bring up the allegiances of the twins..?" Despite mentioning them, nobody bat an eye at the two mentioned. Tubbo looked at Tommy with a furrowed brow before speaking up.

"Um..? Allegianc-"

"Well, that's obvious, clearly since the Angels and Demons are already vastly overpowered. If we were to have another war, us Humans would simply be overwhelmed, would we not?" Technoblade swiftly interrupted, leaning back in his chair.

"Hang on-"

"Woah, woah woah, Techno. Not so fast- overwhelmed? Did you just manage to forget how there was actually a standstill in the previous war? Meaning that we all suffered similar losses? That's a really bullshit excuse if you ask me." Dream snapped, his tone laced with hostility. "If anything, they should back us up, so that then, maybe we'll have even the slightest chance at overthrowing Jschlatt."

"Language! And also, I kinda think we're underpowered, actually, mostly defense and n-"

"At least you have defense." Dream cut in, making him flinch.

It always happened. Tommy didn't expect any less, but somehow, it still surprised him in just the slightest. There would always be a debate that grew into three people shouting over each other until one walked out or he got angry enough to make the ground shake them into silence. It's not like they would take him or Tubbo seriously unless they started showing their real strength, in which case they would still be treated like children (despite both of them easily being older than all three).

And even if he spoke a little louder, raised his voice to match everyone else's, he was likely to get shout down back into silence. It was futile, really, so he kicked his feet up against the table and watched and listened. Not that their politics would affect him at all, as long as-

"Okay, how about this? You take one, I take the other, and we agree to never bring this up again, deal?" Dream seethed, teeth sharpening into razors before dulling again. He winced, almost as if the sudden change was painful. Among the many spells cast over the temple, one of them forbade the use of any type of magic- to prevent physical violence. Most of the time, it didn't work, but it was an effort...sort of.

"I'm afraid we can't let that happen." Tommy clapped his hand against the table and narrowed his eyes. Tubbo looked startled by the declaration. This had happened only once before and oh the chaos it had caused. It made even him shudder at the thought.

"Excuse my rudeness, or whatever, but do either of you have any idea what will happen if we're separated? Do you have any damn clue?" He asked- no, demanded. They all, for once, silenced. At his side, Tubbo pinched himself, perhaps to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"The All-Knowing created two of us for a reason. If we aren't in the same domain, everything gets thrown out of balance. If Tubbo gets dragged down to the Demon Realm while I stay here, the consequences are going to tear this world apart." He explained. The quiet that followed hung over them so thickly you could cut it with a knife. Tubbo added, right after him.

"Also, I think discussing our allegiance without asking or even considering our opinions is rather stupid. Personally, I'm in no mood to take anyone's side, especially since you all are always at each other's throats. If war breaks out, we don't give a damn, but we're certainly not going to help anyone in a battle that isn't ours." He glanced at the grandfather clock at the end of the left hall. "And I think, we should wrap this up for next time. It's getting late."

"Right." Bad got up first, and then the rest. He lead the way to the exit and bid them farewell before taking off. Everything after that went by rather quickly, Techno made his departure without a single word, but it seemed that he and Dream weren't exactly at a truce. They eyed each other for a few seconds before parting ways at last, leaving the twins alone once more.

"I don't like this, Tommy...they're all so angry, they'll kill each other if we don't do something." Tubbo let out a much-needed sigh before looking at him with round blue eyes.

"Yeah, we'll do something when they actually listen, but for now..." He trailed off.

"We just have to wait and watch."
