Now ending the year with mid lines, and the graduation. Entering 6th grade. I gave hugs to both my teacher because they were the best ever.
Next thing I know, my mom says that I'm going to Poland this summer. I had a lot of emotions going through me.
I was scared due to my fears of flying.
Happy to see my moms side of the family and where she grew up.
Sad to not be able to play NHL 12 on the Xbox.
And surprised because she told me now.
That day, I was so tired because I couldn't sleep for the last 4 days. When I got on the plane, I was wide awake, and I started shaking in my seat.
My hands grasped the arm rest, my body sat tall trying to not move, my toes were curling up into a ball, and I started breathing faster.
Even when I wanted to use the bathroom on the plane, I couldn't stand or talk. Then turbulence came, that's when my body stiffened even more until the food came. The smell of the plates and the abundance of food watered my mouth to the max and my body wasn't stiff like a tree but more like a rag doll.
I took some chicken and kasha which is a round type of rice in Poland.
Then the seat belt sign flashed on and the pilot signaled that the 9 hour flight was over and to prepare for landing. That's when I actually got really anxious. Then we landed, I was glad for it to be over, but then again, I have to go through this again. On the bright side, I'm now here
We found our grandfather and went to his house. It was nice and small. Then our grandmother told us that we're going to meet her friends and travel around Warsaw (capital of Poland). There was 3 modes of transportation there; cars, busses, and trolleys. We also went to a supermarket called Biedronka (means ladybug). We also traveled to the main city and went sightseeing like at a festival. There was also an ice cream shop which had the creamiest and softest ice cream I ever had in my life. Next thing I knew, it was time to go home. Also, on the way back, I was on a plane called "The Dream" which had on-board tablets in the seat in front of everyone and had a lot of games. There was also a movie so they handed out headphones that connected to holes in my seat. 9 hours later, it was time to land, this time I was mad that I was leaving this flying heaven.
