It was a warm summers morning, the birds singing their therapeutic morning songs as the ancient trees swayed in the breeze. The sky was a pristine baby blue colour, fluffy white clouds splattered around the sky like stars painted on a canvas. It was a perfect day...
"Korekiyooooooo! I'm boreeeeed!"
Kokichi caught my attention, shoving himself into me. I sighed, taking out my earbuds and facing him, averting my gaze from the coach window. My exposed elbows had multiple red marks from being propped up by the window.
"Why don't you go speak to someone else? I'm not your source of entertainment."
I stated with an unimpressed tone. Kokichi gave an annoyed sigh
"But I'm not allowed to get out of my seat while we're driviiiinggg"
I put my earbuds back in and faced away from him, not wanting to have to put up with him. He groaned and slumped down into his seat, crossing his arms like an angry toddler. It wasn't long until he had propped himself up onto his knees and leaned over to see who was sitting in front of the two of us. At least that would keep him occupied for a while.
We were on our way to a summer camp trip with our school, though I've never really met the others in the opposite classes. Each class is rather small, and we all have our separate areas of the school. My class consists of Kaede, Kirumi, Kokichi, Shuichi, Kiibo, Makoto, Celestia, Mondo, Sayaka and myself. We are quite a questionable bunch, but most of us get along at least. I can't say I'm not curious to see what the other classes are like and what kind of people I will get to meet..
"Kokichi sit down!!"
My peaceful thoughts were interrupted by Kirumi telling Kokichi off for running up and down the aisle of the coach. He came to a stop and gave an irritated whine.
"But there's nothing to doooo!"
"We will be there soon, Kokichi. So just stay seated"
By the sound of Kirumi's tone, he's been doing this for quite some time. I do have sympathy for her having to boss everybody about all the time. She insists it's no worry to her, but sometimes I do think it gets to her.

I had dozed off for the majority of the journey, which I am partially thankful for as I would have had to put up with Kokichi. However, I am slightly disappointed I missed some of the nice views of the scenery as we passed. The coach was erupted into chatter, the opposite from when I first fell asleep. We were close to arriving to the camp where we would be staying for the summer. I felt an unusual wave of excitement flow over me, I had never really met the other classes before so I was willing to get to know them better.
The chatter grew louder as we passed the welcome sign of the camp.
"Welcome to Camp Teien! Enjoy your stay!"
Despite having such a small class, the whole class erupted into a massive cheer, some of us shuffling about as we grabbed our few belongings we were allowed to have with us at our seats.
The coach soon pulled into the car park, everyone almost immediately rising from their seats and shuffling out the coach. I followed along by the back, excited to meet the other classes. As we all hopped of the coach, we were all made to line up in our classes, muttering among ourselves as we observed the two other classes lined up either side of us. There was a girl with purple braided hair, a shorter boy with a beanie, one black haired boy bossing his class about and this taller boy with messy hair and round framed glasses. For some reason, the last boy caught my attention. Something about him was oddly comforting and warm, and he seemed to be fairly fond of bugs. He had what looked like a beetle resting on the palm of his hand, inspecting it closely. Without warning, his gaze turned to me as a quickly averted my gaze, not wanting to be perceived as creepy for my first impression.
The camp leaders arrived and greeted us happily, going over the rules of the campsite. The boy with black hair from earlier was listening a bit too intensely to the rules, standing to attention as if he was being inspected. They gave each of us a list of paper that had all the rules on them and times for events that would be happening for that day on it. And with that they led each group to their cabins, each one in a circle around a small unlit campfire.
For our cabins, we were put into pairs. Unfortunately, I was paired with Kokichi. He gave me a mischievous smirk as we entered the cabin, him almost immediately claiming the top bunk of the bunk bed which we shared (Not like that you nasty). I flopped onto the bed with a short sigh, gazing around at the cabin. It was quite small, but in a cosy way. I guess I was going to have to find a way to put up with Kokichi if we're going to be paired for the duration of our stay..
"Hey! Watcha doin'?"
Suddenly Kokichi's face appeared as he hung upside down from the edge of the higher bunk, making me jolt up in suprise. He have a mischievous laugh.
"What I am doing does not concern you."
"Awhh but Kiyo I'm boreeeed."
I sighed, sitting up."I'm not your source of entertainment. Why don't you go and greet the others or something."
Kokichi groaned but reluctantly agreed to my idea, hoping off his bunk and wandering to the door.
"Don't cause any chaos whilst you're gone."
"Kiyo what kind of person do you take me for? I would never!"
He gave me that unpromising smirk before leaving the cabin, silence finally flooding the room. I flopped back down onto the bed, deciding to adventure out the dorm later on, shutting my eyes for a moment before falling asleep.
