Percy's POV

It was the day after the war with Gaea. The demigods had won with no causalities. Unless you count the loss of my sight. Annabeth broke up with me this morning. She said that nobody could ever love a blind freak. That she had enough to do without hauling my blind ass around. What Annabeth didn't expect was for the hole camp to turn on her for doing so. Yet that is exactly what happened. I have ben lying in an infirmary bed for the past few hours. Apollo himself had come to make sure that being left blind was my only injury from the war. Apollo told me that they had yet to tell my Mom and Paul that I was blinded in the war. Apollo returned to my room jeering from thoughts. Come Percy we are going to set you up with a temporary guide dog said Apollo. The wod temporary gave me hope. Is my blindness temporary I asked, focusing on the place in the room where I could here the floor creaking. No replied Apollo. I frowned. Then why is the dog temporary I asked. We are going to train to live normally without sight he responded helping me up from the bed. I stumbled along beside him. When we got outside, Apollo handed me a dog harness. He let out a shrill whistle. A young dog came bounding up. Sit said Apollo. The dog sat at my feet. Meet Thesis, he is well trained German Shepherd guide dog said Apollo. He then proceeded to show me how too harness him, amd how to trust and give him commands. Once I was set with the dog, Apollo told me he was going to drive me too my mom's house. So that I could let her know I was alive. He guided me to his sun car, and helped me to get in. He put Thesis in the back seat, and climbed into the driver's seat. I had Always had a crush on Apollo. So it was definitely awkward when his hand rested on my leg sometime during the middle of the drive. The car eventually stopped, and even though I was now blind I knew were we were. The driveway to my apartment complex was easily recognizable even without sight. On the drive there I had been screwing up my courage to tell Apollo liked him in a romantic way. So before he got out of the car I held out my hand to fell around for him. When I found his face I leaned in amd kissed him on the lips. He soon melted into the kiss. When we pulled apart, he asked me the question first. Will you go out with me like on a date? I smiled when I heard those words come from his mouth. Yes I replied. Okay we have to get you inside he said. I could hear him open his car door. Minutes later the back door opened and closed. He cane around and helped me out of the car. Once I was standing he guided my hands to the handle of the guide harness. We started walking until we reached the elevator. Apollo called up on the intercome.

Sally Jackson's POV

I was sitting at the kitchen table. I knew my boy was at war. I also knew that the war should have ended by now. As I sat there reading a book I heard the apartment intercom come on. Paul started to get up to answer it but I told him I would go.

Hello Mrs. Jackson, are you there.

Yes I am here. what do you need?

I am Apollo the Greek God I am here regarding your son.

When he said that he was Apollo, and he was here about my son I nearly had a heart attack. Could Percy be hurt. I turned back to the intercom and pressed the button again.

Okay Lord Apollo come on up.

I walked back into the kitchen to see Paul. Are you okay Sally he asked me. I think so, that was Apollo he has come with news about Percy. When I said that Paul's eyes widened. Is he alright Sally paul asked me. He knew all about Percy being a demigod. I don't know Apollo is own his way up. Just as I said that there was a knock at the door. I walked to the door and opened it. There stood Apollo. Is my son alright I asked the god. He is alive but permanently blind replied Apollo. My heart skipped a few beats. Blind? I asked. Is he with you? I asked getting control over my breathing. Yes he said stepping aside. There in the doorway was Percy. My boy was home. Scarred but home. Come in I said to My son, and the present god. Apollo walked in and my son followed. He was guided by a German shepherd. Wich I guessed was a guide dog. The dog led him to the couch and Apollo helped him sit down. Paul walked in carrying a 4 year old Estelle. Estelle was mine and Paul's daughter. Once everyone was sitting down. Percy began to explain what had happened.

Percy's POV

Once everyone was sitting down I explained the war to my mom. As I was ending with the final battle, I explained how it had come down to me to choose my sight, or the lives of 300 innocent demigods. My mom assured me that I had made the right decision in the end. I then explained the entire day to her. I could tell she was shocked, and a bit skeptical when I told I was dating Apollo. I asked if we could spend the night. She reluctantly agreed for Apollo too do so but she had immediately agreed for me staying. We talked for a bit longer, before Apollo helped me too my room. I pulled my shirt off and swapped my jeans for some sweatpants and, crawled into my bed beside Apollo who had unharnessed Thesis. I snuggled into his chest. We both soon fell into the realm of Morpheus.
