AUTHOR'S NOTE

hey everyone, I usually don't like posting author's notes (because I know the feeling of seeing an update and it not being a chapter. if that was what you thought about this I'm sorry!) but I had some news I wanted to post and I can't post photos on a comment thread, so I have to do it here. but it will also give you a heads up to what's coming up with other works!

For Blackguard, I apologize for the slow updates, I'm working on posting Bound By hatred to my FF account (with alterations and revisions) as well as doing updates to it for here and on my Ao3 account as well. But it's been taking me longer to get the next chapter out due to work and life (lol) but as soon as I'm finished with that chapter I was going to start on the next Blackguard chapter.

Leading into that, I put in one of my announcements that with the newest chapter of Blackguard I was going to post with it a small announcement and update to my NEWEST story, a Chris X reader story. Some of you may have read that announcement already, for those who haven't I'm happy to say that yes, I am currently in the works of writing a multichapter and most likely multibook Chris X reader story. Since I haven't gotten the next chapter to Blackguard done yet I'm just going to leave the newest announcement here along with my teaser book cover and all that jazz. Once again, sorry for the delay, I will get the next chapter out shortly as well as this Chris reader chapter up shortly too.

April was when the First attack happened; Two little girls, Becky and Priscilla McGee, nine and seven years old. Disappeared from a family picnic in Victory Park. They were found...mutilated and...eaten. Dog attacks. That's what the news called them, and everyone agreed. But they didn't like it nonetheless.

When the third victim came up six weeks later, that was when it caught my interest. I had just finished my classes for the summer break, and I had a good idea for my "over the summer assignment." I'm going to crack this case wide open; something is off with it. I know it.

I had something a lot of the people in Raccoon didn't: for one, I was a reporter--OK, maybe I wasn't an "official" reporter...yet--I'm working on it. I have just a few more semesters left at Raccoon College then I can work my way into the local news stations. That doesn't matter, I have the drive for this case. Another thing I have is insider information. Joseph--my big brother--works for the RPD S.T.A.R.S team. He can help me with information on the case...if I bug him enough, that is.

Something smells fishy with this case, it doesn't sit right with me. A cult? Come to Raccoon City? And to kill so many people openly? No, that doesn't seem right. If it were true--for argument sake--why, then, would they leave so many bodies behind to trace back to the Arklay Mountains where they could be caught? No, something is wrong here and I know it's being covered up. Chief Irons is anything but a decent guy--he's creepy and disgusting. I don't know how they let that walking lawsuit be the chief of police.

It seems like I'm not the only one keeping an eye on this case...and me. The first incident was easy to brush off--just a coincidence--I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. No biggie...but the second attack? No, someone is targeting me. But that won't stop me from closing this case, oh no, it only made me more sure that there is something more going on here.

Raccoon City, look out for your new golden girl reporter because she's got a story that'll keep you talking about it for the next decade.

(F.N) Frost is a young college girl with big aspirations for becoming the best reporter in Raccoon City. Stubborn and sharp, don't let her looks fool you, her tongue is as sharp as her wits... let's just hope they're sharp enough to keep her alive through this case. Maybe befriending the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team is her best bet. But even for the college Golden girl, Chris Redfield is a case that even she can't crack. Who is he, and what does he want with her? Sure she can brush it off as him being friends and co-workers with her older brother, but why does he seem to always be popping up unexpectedly?
