Okay, so I did REALLY bad in my finals and I’m not talking about an “Oh, I got a B- and that’s the worst grade that I could ever get.” No, I’m talking about getting like a D+ or an F, the highest grade I got out of all my finals was a C+, but that ended up dropping my grade. (Sigh) I’ve just been feeling down lately and now my parents are expecting really good grades from me and I know for a fact that my grades are all going to be C’s and D’s, probably a B but that’ll be for English. By the way, have you guys seen Gone Girl, like that movie is amazing. <3 Words can seriously not describe how much I LOVED that movieJ. Oh and sorry for not uploading until today. After finals were over I ended up sleeping right when I got home and waking up until Saturday afternoon at 1pm, first time I ever felt extremely relaxed. But sadly, school will presume on Wednesday but the good news is that I will be able to write another chapter on Saturday since finals are finally over. YAY! Anyway here’s the chapter you’ve guys been waiting for, enjoy.
Chapter 4
“You know Laura, we’re always here for you,” Riker assured me. “Hey let’s get out of this hostile room,” Calum got up from the chair next to my bed and started to search my drawers to check and see if Vanessa left any clothes for me to change into. “Seems like she didn’t leave much for you to have here,” Calum said as he was still searching for any extra clothes. “She told me she was in a rush to get here so I don’t think she brought anything from home. Besides, what happened to my other clothes?” “Yeah, about that… the second time you collapsed, Ross though it’d be a bright idea to poor water on your face, bad thing is that he missed your face and ended up pouring water on your clothes.” Wow, great. How am I supposed to get out of here? I realized that without my clothes, I would need to stay with this hospital robe the whole time and that I can’t leave with these on, surely they’ll inform me to leave them but these are the only clothes I have available. Damn it. I’m going to have to stay here longer then I thought I would’ve. “I’ll call Raini and ask her if she can bring you some clothes from your dressing room.” Calum was searching Raini’s contact name and you could tell he was having difficulties in searching her number in his contact list. “You do realize you could type her name in and then her contact pops up.” “I find it funny that even Laura knows more on operating an iPhone than you Calum, and she doesn’t even own one.” I couldn’t help but laugh at Riker’s shady comment. “Hey, in my defense I actually never saved her number… and Riker, that’s how every phone operates, not just IPhones.” “How come you didn’t save her number?” I asked entirely confused thinking that maybe he secretly doesn’t like her. “So that way I can start memorizing it.” I was surprised by Calum’s response. Maybe he has a thing for Raini. “And don’t worry you guys; I haven’t saved your numbers either.” Never mind. “Calum.” Riker groaned in frustration and snatched his phone out of his hands. “I’m adding names to your contacts because I know for a fact that this will cause more complications for you in the near future.” A minute later Riker finally returned Calum his phone. “This is what I get for trying to be unreliable on technology.” Calum sighs of disappointment and calls Raini. “Alright, it’s ringing.” He takes the phone call outside of the room, waiting for Raini to pick up the phone.
During that, Riker and I were sitting there in silence trying to figure out what to say. “Thanks again Riker. Seriously, I mean it.” Riker and I were sitting next to each other on the hospital bed and our bodies were facing the window exposing a dark pitch black night. “Laura, you thank people too much.” “I’m sorry I can’t help it, it’s just in my nature to be kind to people.” “That’ll destroy you in the future; people will probably take advantage of you because of that.” I took in consideration of Riker’s advice, he probably has a point. “You’ve got a point,” he looked at me confusingly like if he didn’t expect me to agree with him. “But that doesn’t necessarily mean to be rude to everyone who deserves to be thanked for their actions.” Riker turned his head and faced the window again; he looked at me through the reflection of us. “You’re such a humble person.” All I did was give him a smile because I know that if I thanked him he would remind me of my obsession on thanking people.
