"Do you want to marry her?", Krishna shot at him, once she heard the entire truth from Shaurya. Anger and envy were evident in her reaction .He shook his head in dismay. "It's not like that Krishna. You have to understand..", he tried to explain but Krishna stalled him. "The honorable deed will be to accept the mother and take responsibility of your child. I don't want stand as an obstacle in your way", she explained firmly, "So I am asking again. Do you want to marry her?". "NO", he shook his head vehemently while answering her

Krishna took a deep breath of relief and stood up. "I won't lie to you, Shaurya", she talked haughtily, "I am not at all happy with this news. It is one thing to put up with your random affairs and another to accept a child who is proof of your infidelity". Shaurya was unable to comprehend her anger as she always portrayed that she didn't care even a bit his disloyalty. "Still I know that a baby is innocent and doesn't need to be punished. If you want to bring up your child in our family, then I won't object. I may not act as a it's mother but promise will never to be an evil step-mother", Krishna gave her decision.

Shaurya was glad to hear her but before he could speak, she interrupted him, "but you cannot have both me and her in your life. If you have any intention to keep her, then please let us part". "Mehek has no intention to enter my life, Krishna. She is not an opportunist but a hapless victim of circumstances. Once baby is born, she will leave", he tried to reason to put her at ease. Yet his considerate words for another woman, didn't sit well with Krishna, "She seemed to have left quiet an impression on you. That too in a short span of time. Are you sure to let her go?". Shauray tried to reassure her but she quickly got up to leave, "I will give you time, Shaurya. Think and decide. Choice is yours".

Shaurya quickly grabbed her forearm, "Only you matter to me, Krishna. If I have to choose, I will always choose love of my life. That is always you". A shimmer of tear spread on Krishna's eyes, "If you accept her, then you will get a loving family. With me, it's an incomplete picture. I will always be a step-mom for your child". "You are the only woman I love. Mehek is just mother of my child who now needs my protection. I have only respect for her. I do care for her but not the way you think", he tried to reassure her. Krishna nodded sadly. "It is a lot to procees and I need some time, Shaurya. I guess you too. Till then I will stay with my mother", with those words, she left.

Shaurya no longer ignored Krishna. After sharing to Krishna about Mehek and their baby, Shaurya felt light. He was back being a caring husband and they communicated well. Tension amidst them seemed to have mellowed down. Yet he found something was amiss. There was a time when he craved for Krishna's attention while he fooled around with other women. But now her insecurities over Mehek didn't make him glad but guilty. 

Shaurya felt bad to put Krishna through his mess. So he tried his best to keep her happy. But at the same time, he didn't falter in regards to his responsibility towards Mehek and his child. He took good care of the woman who was carrying his heir and spend ample time with Mehek. He tried his best to bring Mehek out of negative thoughts and maintain a jovial environment around her. 

Mehek's exams were over and Shaurya had taken her for shopping. He wanted to buy her a new dress so that she could wear for the collage day celebrations. Mehek had no wish to go for the function as she had least interest to socialize. But Shaurya didn't agree and despite her several protests, he took her to a high end designer shop. Mehek was embarrassed as she considered herself to be fat with a huge stomach although he assured her that she looked cute with her baby bump.

As soon as they entered, Shaurya informed sales girls to help Mehek. He went to attend a call while few staffs were helping Mehek to find a perfect dress. Although timid in the beginning, slowly she got excited and enjoyed the experience. Meanwhile an elderly man who was looking around the aisles came near Mehek. She smiled at him politely . He too smiled but soon he frowned at her as if he recognized her. "You are the one from that s*x video, aren't you?", he pointed his forefinger at her.

Mehek froze, shame washed over her while he looked at her in disgust. "I came here to buy a dress for my daughter as I thought this shop catered to elite customers. But seems like p*rn stars visit this store", he humiliated her. Mehek was in tears as the sales assistants gasped in shock and started to murmur amidst themselves. She was about to run away from them when Shaurya came for her rescue. He held her and made her face them. 

"Please apologize to her, Sir", Shaurya demanded the man. "Apologize to this sl*t who sleeps around men for money. No way!!", he sneered. Mehek cringed at his attitude and glances from people around. But Shaurya stood firmly, "Yes Sir. Because she is an honorable woman who is carrying my child. She didn't sleep around with men but me. A private moment shared between us was captured and shared in internet without our knowledge or consent". All were shocked and soon their reaction changed. They looked at Mehek with sympathy but it hurt her more.

"She is not at fault. But the Person who captured the video and uploaded it in web is a criminal. Infact people like you who enjoyed watching it and later spreading it to others are bigger criminals", Shaurya sneered at him. The elderly man grimaced while others glared at him with disgust. "You too have a daughter. Then how could you stoop so low and tarnish another woman", Shaurya rebuked him. Mehek stood tearfully while Shaurya fought for her respect. Finally the man spoke with his eyes down, "I am sorry". He didn't stay any longer in the shop and walked away.

"I am not going for college day. I don't want any dress. Let's leave", Mehek sniveled while Shaurya tried his best to console her. All her excitement went down the drain. All she could feel was fear & shame. The horror of her reality was engulfing her. Many have had seen her naked body being pleasured and many may view it again. It hit her hard. Her bravery betrayed her when a stranger showed her a mirror. "I will be bullied anywhere I go", Mehek whimpered, "I am ruined". 

"Mehek!!", Shaurya had enough and shook her firmly, "you will face the world confidently because it wasn't your mistake. It is time to show them that you are here to stay tall; to fight and win". His words poured confidence into her wounded ego. She looked into his eyes and they reflected genuine care & concern. "I know you can do it", he gave her confidence. "Thanks Shaurya", she whispered feebly. Before he could say anything, she spoke again, "Don't say that you did it for your child. I know that you did it for me". He smiled at her words and wiped her tears, "You are welcome". "Ma'am, would you like to try this dress?", one of the sales person offered a beautiful dress to Mehek, showing their support to her. Mehek nodded and Shaurya gestured her to go ahead and try it

"I had a good time", Mehek informed him while he bid her farewell. After shopping, Shaurya had take her to dinner. "I am happy that you enjoyed", he was glad to see her smiling. "Thanks for everything. Not just shopping or dinner but for standing up for me. For protecting my honour. For boosting my confidence", she expressed her gratitude. Shaurya brushed it aside with politely.  

"Goodnight Princess", he knelt down to place a kiss on her belly. "Goodnight Daddy", Mehek replied playfully without recalling the double meaning in it. Unknowingly she made him go back to their passionate night. He spoke hoarsely near her ears, "Goodnight, Temptress". Mehek looked at him desirously while her lips shivered with need. She didn't withdraw when he came on to her lips. When he sucked her lips softly. She relented and opened her mouth for him to plunder. They kissed each other passionately until Mehek gained back her senses. She pushed him away softly, "This is wrong. We shouldn't".

In split second, Shaurya realised his mistake. Mehek was right. An illicit affair is the last thing they need. Mehek and Krishna deserved better. They are not his play things to be toyed and exploited. He promised to respect Mehek and be loyal to Krishna. He felt guilty and apologized to her. "It's okay, Shaurya. I am to be blamed too. These pregnancy hormones are villains. Let's pretend that it never happened", Mehek spoke quickly and left him.

Shaurya sat in his car and looked back at house where Mehek stayed. She has turned it into a home for him. Something that Krishna still couldn't manage despite their long relationship. Vicky was right. Mehek had made her own place in his heart. He was unable to decode his feelings for Mehek whereas he still believed Krishna is the love of his life. He touched his lips as if trying to feel her taste but then shook her head to banish those forbidden thoughts.
