Summer was close to an end as m/n's schedule became more and more packed. There were photoshoots almost every day, and if there weren't a photoshoot, there would be a commercial shoot somewhere in the day. M/n and Kuroo couldn't spend time as much as when summer started, but they still made time for each other. They would meet near the convenience store nearby. Every time they do, a few random people would recognize m/n from the magazines or commercials that aired on tv.
"Sorry, it happened again," m/n said, looking down to the ground, sighing softly.
Kuroo chuckled before patting m/n's head softly, leaning into his partner's head and kissing the top of his head softly. "It's okay, we always have next time,"
"Yeah, you're right,"╔────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.──────╗
With that, summer ended and everyone had to go back to school. Both willingly and unwillingly, no one could know. Walking into the school, everyone had their eyes on him once more. He felt uncomfortable, but gradually growing used to all the attention. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. For his job, he had to. No other choice.
Just then, a small male with bleached hair and few black strands walked past m/n, bumping into him, saying "good morning,"
"Ah, Kenma-san, good morning," m/n said as he trailed Kenma. He also looked around, looking for his partner. Unfortunately, he couldn't find this partner of his. Usually, he would be with Kenma, but he wasn't this time.
"If you're looking for Kuroo, he's sick," Kenma said as the h/c male widened his eyes. Then, Kenma continued, "you should visit him later after school,"M/n nodded and flashed a weary smile before agreeing. For once, Kenma looked up from his game and flashed a soft smile and pat the taller male's shoulder softly. "Kenma, you... can smile?"
"Don't make me kill you," He stated before looking back at his game, walking to class silently.
"But-- your smile is really cute!" m/n exclaimed, following the bleached haired male to their classroom.╔────── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.──────╗
School ended, Kenma and m/n got on the bus to visit Kuroo. The ride was filled with them talking about their games, battle strategy, and many more, related to gaming.
"Hey, do you think Kuroo-san is okay?" m/n asked.
Kenma paused his game and placed it down, shooting his head towards the tall male, tilting his head to the side. M/n watched him in confusion as Kenma went back to his game without a word. "So, let me guess, Kuroo and you are already an item?"
"W-what-- how did you--"
"Instincts,""Yeah, actually we started a few days after the summer camp with those other schools,"
"That's good, just don't get careless, you do have a reputation to keep, one wrong move and you're over with,"
"Aww~ Kenma is worried about me~"
"Shut up,"A soft chuckle escaped the model as he leaned his back into the seat and sighed, "I understand, I'll try and be as careful as I can be,"
After a few minutes, they reached the neighborhood where Kenma and Kuroo grew up in. Kenma led the way as m/n followed behind as usual. Soon, they reached Kuroo's house as Kenma casually opened the front gate and walked in, knocking on the door as m/n panicked in the back. Just then, a woman in her late 60-s, opening the door with a smile."Ah, Kenma, you must be here to visit Kuroo. I see you've brought a friend over too, welcome, come in, come in," the woman smiled and invited the two in.
Kenma walked in as m/n followed behind awkwardly. The woman smiled at both of them before closing the door behind them. Just then, the woman went over to the stairs, inhaling a big breath before shouting, "KUROO! KENMA BROUGHT A FRIEND OVER, COME DOWN!"
A few seconds pass before a loud thud echoed, followed by a few thuds before Kuroo was finally visible. He had a big red blanket around him as he clutched onto the edges tightly as he growled at the female, "Old hag, you know I'm sick,"
"Hello, Kuroo-san," m/n said softly as Kuroo shot his head toward the familiar voice. A large smile appeared on his face as he hurried down the stairs and wrapping his hands around his partner.
"Looks like you two finally saw each other, I'll take my leave now," Kenma said without expression as he walked towards the door, eyes sticking like glue on his game.
"Not so fast, kitty, you're having dinner with us, right grandma?"
The woman smiled and nodded, agreeing with Kuroo as she glanced over to m/n who was still in Kuroo's tight grasp, "Of course, you too young man,"
"Ah, thank you for the offer, let me call and tell my mother, quickly," m/n said as he successfully wiggled out of Kuroo's tight grasp around his waist.
"Of course, of course, let me go get grandpa and we can start eating,"
M/n pulled out his phone from his pocket and quickly dialed his mother's phone number and waited for her to pick up. After 10 long seconds, she finally picked up with a, "hello" from the other end.
"Ah, mom, can I have dinner at Kuroo's place?"
"Of course, have fun honey, don't stay out for too long,"
"Okay, mom. See you later,"
"See you, love you, hun,"
"Love you too, mom,"He ended the call and looked over to Kuroo who had Kenma in a headlock. Kenma was frowning with his eyes still glued to his game. A funny sight it was.
"Kuroo-san, I thought you were sick," m/n raised his eyebrow as he leaned his face close to the rooster head male.
Kuroo's face turned red at the distance between their two faces as he gulped softly, looking at his partner in the eye before replying, "W-well, after seeing you, I felt so much better!"
"Oh, really? That's great to hear," m/n smiled and placed a soft peck on Kuroo's cheek as Kuroo's grip around Kenma's neck loosened.
Kenma wiggled out of Kuroo's arm and quickly his behind m/n while still playing on his game.M/n chuckled and pat Kenma's head softly while watching him play. 'You're really good at this game, Kenma-san,"
"Really? I guess I'm normal,"
From the kitchen, the female known as Kuroo's grandmother exclaimed, letting everyone know, "Kids, dinner is ready!"
