Part 1 - Royally Intrigued

Eric was bored.

Ever since he'd met Sookie he was struggling to think of anything or anyone else, but he couldn't understand why.

Yes, she was attractive but then so were most of the people he met. There was something more to her, perhaps it was her innocence; she was blatantly a virgin, yet she had a strange sexual allure to her that made her even more irresistible.

She's Bill's, he thought with distaste.

Unhappy, he turned his attention back to the group of people currently in his bar; Fangtasia.

Fangtasia catered to three different types of people; tourists, fang bangers and vampires. The tourist came to catch a glimpse of a vampire in the flesh and be able to boast that they had bravely faced a vampire. "Fang banger" was a nickname given to pathetic humans who simply hoped to spend a night with a vampire to feel the rush of danger. And it was mandatory for all vampires with in the area code to make a appearance, much to their annoyance.

So when she walked in looking fresh faced and innocent. Eric's thoughts of Sookie were immediately banished.

She was beyond beautiful. Her body curved in stunning arches and her thick brown hair fell in perfect waves landing lightly on her chest. She was wearing a pale pink corset that fitted her body perfectly and the tight leather pants she had paired it with gave her a look of subtle danger.

But that wasn't what drew his attention to her. It was the sickly sweet scent that subtly surrounded her, that overwhelming reminder that this goddess of a woman was not human.

Eric's attention was immediately piqued. He watched with patient pleasure as Pam, his second in command and progeny, stood at the door and carded the strange beauty and he smiled when Pam handed the card back to the girl, confirming that his tantalising visitor was old enough to get into all sorts of trouble.

The mysterious girl scanned the bar as if she was searching for someone, which only further intrigued Eric. She eventually joined a withered yet handsome old man with long blonde hair. He seemed quite a bit older than she was, which made Eric think (or hope) he wasn't her date.

Losing his patience Eric signalled to the blonde vampire from the door. Who flitted over to the strange couples table and swiftly escorted them to Eric.

They slowly rose and walked over to him. He repositioned himself in the hope that he looked even more majestic on his throne like a chair.

As the odd trio made their way toward him he realised that she was even more stunning up close.

Her hair which he had originally thought was light brown was actually the richest, darkest shade of mahogany he had ever seen. Her skin which he hadn't even noticed before was paler than milk and she had legs which didn't ever seem to end, the six-inch heels she was wearing only further enhanced this but the most startling thing was her eyes. They were almost black.

Eric smiled, he could tell tonight was going to be fun.

"My name is Niall Brigant." The stranger said and waited for the information to sink in, momentarily registering the look of recollection on Eric's face. The stranger was attractive, in a somewhat refined way. His eyes were green, the deepest shade you could imagine and he could tell that Eric knew exactly who and how important he was.

Eric jumped gracefully off his throne quicker than the human eye could ever hope to see.

"Are you Eric Northman?" Niall asked with blatant distaste. He clearly didn't like associating with a vampire.

Eric had to admit that he was intrigued, it wasn't often fae royalty came into his bar. He didn't want to seem to enthusiastic though so he simply nodded.

Niall pointed at the strange beauty Eric was so infatuated with and said, "This is my daughter, Mina."

Mina held her hand out to Eric as if she expected them to shake hands but Niall grabbed her wrist before she could and for some odd reason, that Eric couldn't understand, Niall was shaking his head at her in revulsion. But when her father wasn't looking Mina gave Eric a mischievous wink.

Eric felt a bubble of joy rise in his chest and was surprised by the depth of feelings he had for this mysterious stranger. He couldn't remember having any real feelings for anyone and he didn't like the sudden change.

"How about we go to my office, it's more secure."

They compliantly followed Eric to the small, dark room he called a office. It was modern and full of new technology that all humans expected to occupy his office.

Eric scowled, he hated his office.

He hated everything from the clean cut metal desk to the state of the art computer. If he had his way it would be more like the basement torture chamber he had downstairs but Pam had insisted this was more practical when dealing with humans and he had to admit it did have its advantages.

None the less he was still a little embarrassed of the modern technology when he was leading a famous ancient fae king into his office for a secret meeting with his royally beautiful daughter.

Eric sighed internally and plaster a look of indifference on his face. Turning gracefully he motioned to the pair of plush leather seats as he took his place in the large metal chair behind his desk.

"So how may I help you?"
