A few months later
I hop over the bar grabbing Sean by the belt loop of his pants "Hey sexy" I call over the loud music booming through the club. He turns around and gives me a smirk "You got my treats" I ask him and he leans in telling me "I don't do that anymore, Gia."
I pout as he goes under the bar to hand some other group of girls a bottle of wine before turning back to me. "Come on, you can make this one exception" I tease placing the money in the front pocket of his jeans. "And if I don't" he asks sultrily but I just shrug and wink "I can always just ask your boss."
He rolls his eyes before telling me "Wait here" and I accept as he slides me a drink with a wink. I spin around on the barstool before spotting Jackson and waving him over.
Jackson tries pushing his way through the crowd but I just make my way over to him instead until a girl yanks on my arm and I turn around in annoyance. Just as I turn to shove her off of me, she pukes all over my boots and I'm frozen in place.
Are you fucking kidding me?!
"Ugh, bitch" I groan as I step back shaking off my shoe until she looks up at me and I see the blood all over her face.
Holy shit.
My hands shake at the terrifying sight and I let out a shriek just as Jackson finally reaches me and everyone around us starts screaming and backing away.
The girl at my feet rasps "Help me" as the blood starts pouring from her eyes and nose but I can't move. I just stare at her, my mouth hangs open and my eyes are wide with panic as Jackson mentions "We have to get out of here."
Sean pushes through the crowd in front of me and I recognize the girl; she was at the bar just a minute ago. She's the one Sean handed the wine to.
I look up into Sean's eyes seeing the panic in them that likely mirrors mine before we hear "Someone call 911" and I snap back to reality.
Dad. I have to call my dad.
I push through the crowd to get outside and whip out my phone hitting the speed dial.
Rossi.
"Dad... something happened."
* * *
The officers take my boots into evidence as I rub my arms feeling the cold air prick at my skin. A car pulls up in front of the scene and my dad steps out a moment later.
"Geez, they couldn't cover you up" he complains quickly sliding off his coat and draping it over my shoulders to protect all my exposed skin. "And where are your shoes" he asks angrily as he looks around at the scene behind us.
My voice shakes and I barely manage to croak out "Th-the police took them for e-e-evidence" stuttering through my explanation. Dad looks at me with wide eyes as the girl's bloody face flashes in my mind again and I flinch from the sight.
"What happened" he asks and I open my mouth to speak but I watch them taking body bags out of the club and I feel all the air leave my lungs. Tears start to fall from my eyes, but my dad just wraps his arms around me and hides my face in his chest as I tremble from the cold and the terror of tonight.
I see Sean on the phone a little off to the side and Jackson being questioned by the police about what he saw. My dad just holds me at arms length and asks "Can you tell me what you saw" so I nod trying my best to fight off the shaking in my hands.
"Um..." I wipe my eyes roughly, not caring about my makeup at this point and explain "I was at the bar...getting a drink, and I saw a group of girls at the end of the bar ordering a bottle of wine. They went back to their booths but I stayed at the bar to wait for Jackson, but...when I went to meet him...the girl yanked on my arm. I think she had just fallen and she was trying to grab onto whatever she could...then she just hurled all over my boots and...that's when I saw all the blood on her face...she asked me to help her..."
My voice shakes with nearly every word as the girl's face flashes in my mind each time I blink and my head just falls into my hands and I try to shake it away. "Hey, hey" he comforts me pulling me back against his chest and I just rest there trying to regain my composure.
"Aaron" I hear my dad call out and I look up to see Agent Hotchner stepping out of a cab with JJ. "Dave" he seems shocked, and slightly scared to see my dad here before his eyes land on me and he asks "What's going on here?"
I pull away from my dad and look over the two of them.
I knew it.
"Aaron" Sean calls out and I look at him with a confused expression "Sean" I start and he turns to me before admitting "Oh, Gia. This is my brother Aaron. He's an FBI agent." He looks pale and a bit reluctant to have admitted that to me but I mention "I know...he works with my dad."
Sean eyes dart to my dad standing next to me before coming back to me and he seems genuinely terrified by the connection. "How do you two know each other" asks Aaron suspiciously and I gulp, not wanting to admit that I buy my ecstasy from Sean.
"Uh...she hangs out here a lot. She's a regular" Sean lies terribly and I groan inwardly knowing neither Aaron nor my dad are going to believe that one.
"How'd you get here so fast" I ask and Aaron turns his attention to me as my question takes his mind off Sean's lie. "What do you mean" he asks and I explain "I called my dad 45 minutes ago...which is the typical time it takes to get here from D.C., but I just saw Sean on the phone for the first time all night so...that must've been when he called you."
My dad seems impressed with my deduction skills as Aaron and JJ exchange a glance "We're here to testify against one of the UnSub's we took down" she lies and I catch it easily. "On a weekend" I ask knowing damn well there are no courts on Saturdays and Sundays.
JJ seems angry that I caught her in a lie and I cross my arms over my chest asking "And how come the rest of the team isn't here? I mean, don't you usually take down the bad guys together?" My dad stifles a laugh as both JJ and Aaron look at me trying to hide the panic in their eyes until a female officer approaches us.
"Gianna Moretti" she asks and I turn my attention to her as she holds the bag with my boots mentioning "Uh...we can try and get these back to you..." but I interrupt her and nearly gag at the sight telling her "No thanks." She nods her head and Dad just sighs saying "Come on, I'll get you home."
"We're gonna take a look around" mentions Aaron but my dad just ignores him as he opens the door for me to get into the passenger side of his car. He circles around the front of the car and steps into the driver's seat before asking "Sean's not just a bartender, is he?" I twiddle my thumbs as he waits for me to answer and I admit "He sells ecstasy to some of the guests at the club" so my dad sighs deducing "You being one of those guests."
