*Monday 26th October 2020- Yuta's bday*

*The members of the 10th floor all gathered in the morning - it was sunny but very cold outside*

"MARK?!!" Jungwoo violently whispered into Marks ears "WAKE UP? We are going out today to celebrate Yuta's birthday"

Mark groaned and sat up in his bed. He slowly stood up and walked towards his mirror. "Where are we even going today?" His voice low and grisly from sleep deprivation.

"We are going into Itaewon now before Yuta wakes up to get stuff from that Japanese store he always goes to. Since he can't go back to Japan this year we are going to try and bring Japan to him. So get ready quickly and lets go"

Mark quickly got dressed in an over sized black hoodie and a pair of black adidas tracksuit bottoms that jeno gave him for his birthday and bucket hat over his fluffy unstyled hair

The rest of the 10th floor residents (except for yuta) were gathered in the living room all looking half-asleep apart from Jungwoo who clearly organised this early morning extravaganza.

"Right shall we go then? We need to be quick so that yuta doesn't realise we are gone but hopefully he won't because he doesn't usually wake up before midday" The members looked up at the newly self appointed leader Jungwoo and Taeil said

"Its literally 6:30am i think we will have enough time not gonna lie..."

Mark looked up with his still slightly puffy morning face and but then immediately made eye contact with the floor, "if its for yuta then it has to be perfect.."

Jaehyun nudged Mark and laughed softly at him "oooo marky don't worry we will make sure everything goes well for your 'oppa'"

Mark, looking slightly shy and defensive.. "YAH huhuh I didnt- I- OKKKKKKKK lets just go" he scoffed at the other members and walked out of the dorm first

Mark walked out into the corridor of their building and pressed the button of the lift and waited, still embarrassed by Jaehyun's comment about his 'oppa'. It was true that Mark definitely thought of Yuta as more of an oppa than hyung and he thought that Yuta did as well but he didn't realise that the others thought it was true as well. 'Is Yuta really my oppa or are they all just joking?' 'What if Yuta only says it in a joking way and I'm taking it too literally?' 'Do I really think of Yuta as my oppa and if so does that mean that I l-'

"NO" Mark shouted out loud in answer to all the questions in head.

"Are you good?" Jaehyun asked quite startled by Marks sudden outburst.

"Oh- oh yes I- I'm fine aha sorry I didn't mean to s-say that out loud" Mark turned bright red and reluctantly stepped into the lift with the others.

The 5 of them stood in silence as they went down the building. Mark stared at the numbers on the screen

10...9...8..7..6...5...4....3....2...1...G

There was a ding and the doors of the lift opened to the glass fronted entrance of their building where the morning sunrise blinded each of them as they stepped out.

The air had a chilly autumnal feel to it but the blistering sunlight offered some compensation for the cool air. They all walked down to the end of their road where the taxi Jungwoo called came and collected them and took them to Itaewon.

Mark sat there on his android on the car journey there and read a text message which he received from Yuta at 3:21am the previous evening. He hadn't opened it since he went to sleep before hand but the message read

"Mark, if you are still awake do you want to watch a studio ghibli movie with me? If you are asleep then don't worry and sleep well <3"

Upon reading the message, Mark felt the corners of his mouth raise slightly and his cheeks begin to feel warm. He knows that Yuta doesn't usually message any of the other members so to receive a simple message like this from him made him feel like the luckiest person in the world.

The car pulled up in Itaewon. The members all got out and Jungwoo started assigning people to getting different things. Jaehyun and himself getting a cake and drinks, Taeil getting decorations and Mark getting the food from the Japanese shop. After they split up, Mark walked down the usually buzzing main street in Itaewon alone so decided to put in his wired earphones as he headed for the store. Cayendo by Frank Ocean came on his playlist and the music sat in his head as he walked in silence. His still half asleep brain was so preoccupied with thoughts about Yuta but he was scared that all of these thoughts were only one sided and Yuta didn't feel the same way. Mark didn't want to consider that possibility but he knew that he had to be rational at the same time. 

'I won't do anything until Yuta does' he thought, trying to reassure to himself that these feeling he was experiencing weren't just one sided.

As he arrived at the Japanese grocery store, he entered and greeted the owner in Japanese just like Yuta had taught him to before. The owner knew Yuta well and therefore recognised Mark as well. Mark walked down the aisles of the store and picked up his favourite snacks and loaded them into the basket. After he had finished choosing items he took them up to the cashier desk and got out his phone to do google pay. As he unlocked his phone, he noticed some packets of pocky sitting by the side of the checkout and had flashbacks to that time during the neo zone promotions where Yuta chose him to do the pepero game with him. Mark felt himself smiling at that thought and decided to buy a packet of the chocolate ones and a packet of the green tea ones as well since they are Yuta's favourite flavour.

"That'll be 57,000 won"

Mark payed, thanked the store owner and walked out. He put his earphones back in and heard 17 by pink sweats blast in his ears. As he headed back down the street, the sun had completely risen and a few more people were appearing in the streets. He met Taeil on the way back who was carrying 4 massive bags with helium-filled foil balloons spelling Yuta's name and another bag.The pair of them walked in silence towards where they had agreed to meet Jaehyun and Jungwoo. The other two came out of the supermarket with a crate of beer and a birthday cake just at the right time for the taxi to pull up and take them home

Mark entered the vehicle first followed by Jaehyun then Jungwoo and finally Taeil who struggled trying to fit the balloons inside the car. They drove back to their dorms with the balloons taking up all the room and pushing them all back into their seats. Mark looked out the window at the Seoul sky-line thinking about one thing only.. Yuta.

After a cramped lift ride back up to the dorms with the balloons squashed in with them, it was now 9:04am and they were all starving since they hadn't eaten any food. They all ran inside with their purchases and waited as their dorm aunt Imo made them food. They ate their food quickly since they were all hungry and needed to set up the decorations before Yuta woke up.

They hung the large balloons spelling Yuta cross the living room and started to decorate his cake. As Mark put in the last candle, he heard the door handle of Yuta's bedroom door open. Yuta stepped out and began walking towards the living room still very much half asleep. He smelt the food that had previously been made for the other members and without even looking up or speaking went and helped himself to what was left over. Everyone else in the room looked up at Yuta and froze since they didn't know how to react. Yuta however turned around and then saw the balloons and the cake and realised what was happening

"Uhhhhhh.,,," he put a spoonful of rice in his mouth and suddenly went all shy and dramatically pretended to start crying. He said between mouthfuls "thank you all , I love you guys" Yuta poured water on his eyes and pretended to be crying.

Mark felt his cheeks warm up again. He'd been thinking about Yuta all morning and now he was standing right in front of him; his oppa was indeed the perfect man.
