Chapter 17-Etienne

Anna groans, lying down on the couch. I laugh. "What's wrong?" "I missed the last episode of Supernatural!" I roll my eyes. "Shouldn't you be exercising instead of watching tv?" "Screw you Etienne. Go watch the kids. I'm gonna grab ice cream." I laugh, and go check on Noah and Eleanor. Eleanor's sleeping, but Noah is sucking on his teddy bear. I pick Noah up. "Hi buddy," I whisper, rocking him back and forth. He looks at me, and smiles. I smile back. He looks around like he's surprised at what he's seeing. I bounce him a little higher, and tell him about the things in his room. I tell him about his uncle, his grandparents, our house, how old we are, blah blah blah. He listens to the entire speech, and then smiles again. I smile back. I can't stop smiling. "Etienne?" "Yeah?" "Can you make sure Noah's okay? He doesn't sleep that well." "I'm checking on him now Anna." "Oh okay thanks." I rock him back and forth singing softly until I notice that Anna's standing in the doorway. I put Noah down. He's sleeping by now anyway. "What?" "Nothing," Anna says with a smile. "Nothing doesn't mean nothing." "I've never heard you sing," she says shrugging. I smile as she leaves. Does that mean she likes it? Who cares? Right. I go outside and grab my coffee. "What are we watching?" "Into the Woods." "UGH. We watch that movie every single bloody week." "Well I like it so suck it up Etienne." I grumble and go sit down next to her on the couch. "If you don't want to watch, you can always call your parents." I stare at her. She looks up. "What?" "You can't be serious?" "I'm being really serious. When Etienne, when will you call?" "You still haven't called YOUR parents." "I texted them I have news to tell them tomorrow. So I'll call them tomorrow." "Fine" I say and grab the phone. I close my eyes and dial my mum's number.

"Etienne! I was wondering when you'd call! My baby, how are you?" "Hi mum. Uh, I have some news to tell you." "What is it Etienne?" "Well you know how Anna was pregnant?" "Of course I do. She told me herself. She's a sweet girl, very nice and considerate." "Yeah, she is. But mum, uh." Here goes nothing. "She gave birth five days ago." Silence covers the other end. I wince. Uh oh. "Mum?" And then she starts screaming. "Oh my goodness, is Anna all right? How many kids? What are their names? Are they okay? Are you okay? When can I meet them? WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME FIVE DAYS AGO?!" I gulp. "Anna's fine, two kids, Noah and Eleanor-" "Noah and Eleanor what?" "Their names mum." "Oh that's so cute." "Uh huh. They're okay, I'm okay, you can meet them at Thanksgiving, and we just got out earlier today." "Oh okay. I can't wait to meet them Etienne!" "Can't wait, mum. I love you." "Tell Anna I love her, your children I love them, and I love you sweetheart." I hang up. "That went well," Anna calls. I plop down next to her. "Yeah that went well." I massage my head. We're at the part where the witch tells them to get the four things. One of my favorite parts. Anna snuggles into my side and I smile. I can live like this. Then Anna drops the bomb. "You still have to call your dad."

Hi guys. I just saw Into the Woods, and it was absolutely AMAZING. One of my favorite movies. And Rapunzel's prince was just....gorgeous. My opinion people. Though Cinderella's prince was also pretty handsome. (haha) Also Agony was my favorite song. And Rapunzel's tear was my favorite scene. Anyway thanks for reading and everything. :)
