Four years.
Four years have been passed since Ijika Yuto was defeated.
Four years since Arima Tsuchimikado died.
Four years since Y/N L/N changed.
She wasn't the cheerful, energetic and optimistic Y/N anymore. The Y/N that others had known for most of their life.
It was an understatement to say that she was devastated. No words could describe the amount of pain she was going through.
It wasn't a surprise for them to find her beside his grave every Sunday. She would sit there whole day either talking about their past or just sit still staring at the sky. Tears streaming down her face occasionally.
Everyone tried their hard to cheer her up. Festivals, trips, sleepovers, games. They did everything they could. But all their efforts went in vain. There was not a tiny change in her.
She lost all hope and will to live.
'What's the point of living without him by my side?'
That's what she would do every time. Question her life. It was as if there was no reason to continue living.
However, just the thought of Arimori smiling and calling her mom with so much love and affection kept her depressed and suicidal thoughts at bay. He was the only reason why she didn't gave up on her life.
Her job as an exorcist was also affected. The first time, after his death, when she went for exorcism with the Twin Star stars four years ago, she had a panic attack. The moment the red colour of the 'Magano' entered her vision, the memory of Arima dying flashed before her eyes.
Her breathing quickened. Her heart sped up. Her knees buckled. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead. Tears formed in her eyes. The blood-red colour of 'Magano' and the growling sound of the impurities triggered her.
Since that day, she was advised to take a break from exorcism till she gets stable. She took the job as an instructor at the Seiyounin institute. This was a way to distract her from the pessimistic thoughts.
However little did she knew, her life was going to turn upside down once again.
A turn that no one in the world was expecting. An unbelievable turn.
One day, as usual, she went to Taigetsuru to meet Arimori before leaving for her trip to Tokyo.
Coincidently, she met Rokuro and Benio there. They came to announce the news of their marriage.
"ROKURO!!! MOM!!!"
They turned only to watch Arimori hurriedly making his way toward them. "You look more and more like your Dad," Rokuro spoke pointing out the resemblance in their features.
It was true. In these four years, Arimori started looking like Arima. His once short hair was now knee-length. He started wearing glasses due to his poor eyesight. He also wore a robe similar to Arima's. All in all, Arimori was now a mini version of his father. One look at him and one could easily tell their relation now.
A tear slipped out from Y/N's eyes as she saw how much similar Arimori was looking to Arima. They started panicking when they saw her.
"M-mom!! What happened?? Everything alright?"
She gently hugged him. A small smile adorning her face. One deep look at her eyes and they could notice a small glint of happiness in them as she hugged.
"Yeah Arisu-kun.. you look exactly like Arima-kun"She whispered while caressing his head. He smiled and hugged her back.
She pulled away. The happy glint in her eyes disappearing just as fast as it appeared. "Just a little shorter than him." She mumbled. "I AM STILL GROWING, MOM!!!" He spoke with blush covering his face.
Rokuro and Benio could only watch them with a small smile as they saw Y/N's behaviour towards Arimori. They were glad that she is a little bit changing even if it was in front of Arimori only.
"Congratulations Rokuro-kun and Benio-chan on getting married." Y/N spoke while ruffling their hair and gave them a small side hug.
"Well, then Arisu-kun I should get going now...Take care and call me if needed.. ok?"
"OK! Goodbye, Mom!!" She hugged him one last time before leaving.

That evening, Arimori was in his office reading his father's journal when a sub-ordinate interrupted him. Judging the expression of the sub-ordinate, it was clear there was an emergency.
Arimori's eyes widened and his blood ran cold as words entered his ears. "W-what are y-you saying?" He asked in disbelief. "I am not lying Arimori-sama. Arata-sama asked me to inform you."
He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
He dashed out of the office leaving the sub-ordinate behind.
'DAD!!!'
