"I'm not great at math, but here's one thing I learned for sure. One plus one plus one.. is not a simple equation. Alex was the first to stop coming. He found some other friends. He traded up. We were still friendly in the halls but that's it. Then it was down to Blair and me but then, Blair stopped coming, too. We all went our separate ways. You're the kind of girl that boys like to like, not spread rumors about. You're the nice girl the kind that becomes a cheerleader."

Blair's pov.

Today we're doing our cheer since they're doing this big thing for the basketball player and I partner up with Justin foley but he's not here. I Hope Zach or even Bryce can step in for me. If not I'm gonna be upset.
"Hey there liberty tigers, it's an exciting day at liberty high. Our varsity basketball team is kicking off its preseason today. The first step on the road to returning to the state finals. By liberty tradition, I'm happy to welcome to the podium the winner of this year's captain's award to introduce the varsity squad.
"Walker," one of the football players says.
Now, this season's winner is co-captain of the football team and the baseball team and was called "an inspiration to his entire team, friend to all a tough mother bleep and a true born leader, and I am delighted to bestow the liberty captain's award on Bryce walker."
We all cheer for Bryce and he runs up to me to kiss me and the whole school cheers him on.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ah, it's an honor and I'm proud to be a liberty student-athlete. Go Tigers!" Bryce says
Everyone cheers.
"Now, this year's starting lineup Willem Barclay! Zach Dempsey! Justin foley!" He announces now it was my turn I did a backflip and cheer him on and he didn't come out. Everyone stopped cheering I was so embarrassed why would he do me like that I walked out and Bryce continued with the line-up.

I made my way outside I tried calling him and he didn't answer.
"How could you do this to me? Call me back" I left the voicemail

"Blair?"
"What, clay? What do you want?" I said I know that he wants to talk about the whole Hannah thing.
"We need to talk"
"No, we don't," I said trying to text Jessica to ask her about Justin.
"We have to tell someone about Justin. Like Mr. porter" clay says
"Mr. Porter? Really? That's a fantastic idea." I said.
"Does he know about the tapes?" He asks
"I will say it one more time. Keep your mouth shut, got it?" I said walking away but he grabs my arm
"Blair"
"Back off, clay! Leave me alone." I said walking away.

"What," Hannah asks

"We need to talk."

"And I knew what she wanted to talk about. Alex's list.
You see, that's just how it works in high school. Boys talk, girls listen and everything gets messed up. Or at least that's how it was with us. Right, Blair?"

I was waiting for Hannah at Monet's I was upset with everything going on.
"F.m.l?" She says
"I should have known. I know the rumors, Hannah." I said.
"Well, you can't know rumors. You can hear them, but you can't know them." She says
"We were friends. How could you betray me like that?"
"Like what? What did I do?" She says
"Is it you and Alex now?" I know that they have been talking behind my back.
"No! How could you even- of course not! He your friend he likes you. I'm the one who's out." She says.
"Yeah, and that pissed you off, didn't it?"
"A little. I mean- it made me sad. Why didn't you just tell me?" She says
"Maybe I was afraid of something like this."
"Something like what?
I place the damn list in front of her
