"please!! J, you have to go! Everyone will be there. Plus I need someone to help me get to Alex. I know he likes me, I know he does..." She kept talking but I didn't hear anything after that. Of course she wants to talk to him. Alex. My best friend's crush. She's liked him since seventh grade.
I threw on some random ripped black jeans and a white cropped top, tied a flannel around my waist, quickly did my makeup and put my hair in a high pony. She'd convinced me to go. What can I say? Love makes you do crazy things.
"Where are you going JJ?" Mom called. "Party, don't worry there won't be drinking or any drugs, I'll be home by 1," I smiled softly. "Okay Sweetheart, I love you, I'll see you tommorow." I ran outside towards Lilia, and jumped in her car. She squealed and hugged me. "Tonight is going to be soooo much fun!! I can not wait!! Thank you for actually coming with me!" "Chill Lils, you're killing my ears," I pouted and she giggled. "Sorry, let's go."
It's now around 11pm and I'm chilling in the kitchen by myself, watching as everyone else is doing their own little thing. Lil had left me within thirty minutes of us being here, almost two hours ago. I was pretty bored but there wasn't much I could do seeing as she was my ride. A few drunken weirdos had walked up to me asking me to hookup. Yeah so maybe I lied to my mom a bit, there was alcohol but it wasn't like I would drink it, those days were over.
I got even more bored so I had decided to roam around a bit, hoping to possibly find Lilia. As soon as I did though, I really wished I hadn't.
I walked into the last room of the second story and was going to sit on the bed when I looked up and saw two people making out. Lilia and Alex. I sighed and immediately ran out before they could hear or see me. Maybe I will drink tonight."Hi," I looked up to see a, very beautiful, girl who looked to be my age staring at me. She had big brown eyes and her face was covered in freckles, her hair was honey colored and pooled around her face. She looked adorable. "h-hi," she giggled softly and sat next to me. "Why're you in here all alone?" "My friend uh left me to go hang out with her crush." I frowned softly. "Mine did the same thing. Although mine are actually my friends and judging by that frown I just got, it seems like you want to be more than that." "Is it that obvious?" She nodded looking me in the eyes and smiling. "H-how...I thought I was doing such a good job at hiding it." "Maybe you were, to someone who doesn't know the signs," my eyes widened a bit and I laughed softly.
Before she left to go hang out with her friends, who came around looking for her, we exchanged numbers. So while I waited for Lilia to come find me, we texted back and forth for a bit.

Change contact name to Jules🥳Soon we got back on the topic of Lilia. I had told her when I figured out that I liked her, how I knew, why I hadn't told her, why I wasn't out yet, why I liked her and how important she was to me. She gave me advice when she could and just listened when she couldn't. I could tell we were going to be great friends.
Around 12:45, Lilia made her way into the kitchen smiling widely. She ran over to me and hugged me tightly rambling about how her and Alex had started dating, and how he was "the best kisser she'd ever had". That kind of upset me but I didn't let her know that. I pretended to be happy for her, which wasn't hard because she deserved happiness and even if I couldn't give it to her, I should be happy that she is. On our way home she was dancing around in her seat while I drove us. She was giggling softly to herself and whenever she wasn't looking, I'd sneak looks at her and smile softly, secretly wishing she'd look at me with as much adoration and love she looks at him with.
"Goodnight Lils, I love you, text me when you get home please." I went inside and showered, quickly crawling into bed right after in only a hoodie and underwear. I felt a few tears fall as I soon fell into a deep sleep. 'Tommorow will be better' were the last words I remember thinking.
